Re: Why did God take 4,000 years to bring in the New Covenant?

Why did God take 4,000 years to bring in the New Covenant? It took that long for humanity to figure out they needed it. Wrong answer! most people - the vast majority - still don't think they need the New Covenant. Anyway, 4,000 years is not much time from God's perspective; this is His show, aftera...

Re: Pagan Christianity

I made an appointment and came in and talked to the staff and asked for prayer basically making them them group together most of the staff on hand to pray for me. The lady who was in charge of that said I had Saddleback's "A team" present. They all knew. I received my prayer and then was a...

Re: Pagan Christianity

Short of Rick Warren's daughter-in-law and the whole church reacting in support I haven't seen it. When Rick Warren's daughter-in-law had to have a surgery of the brain the whole church came together and built a fund and website for her and donated a lot of money and she had the best care in the wor...

That's me in trouble: I've got a tattoo going from my right hand all the way up the arm and a little way up on my neck. A bit like Clooney in Dusk 'til Dawn. I've regretted going down my hand and up my neck ever since; should have kept away from these areas. Sounds like a full sleeve +. You should ...

The economy looks to be picking up a bit

Retail holiday sales are down quite a bit from last year and manufacturing isn't returning but still things are picking up a bit with regards to unemployment and finance sectors which is a bright spot. Maybe Americans will be able to choose a different retirement plan than the poor man's retirement ...

Re: Basic question: when did the disciples become born again?

Nevertheless, it is clear from reading what they wrote as well as Christ that salvation was not hereditary, a result of being Hebrew, nor was it obtained through osmosis but rather the result of a very real decision to accept Jesus as Messiah.

Re: Pagan Christianity

My experience is that even the small groups are superficial and transitory. I finished small group leadership training 1 and 2 at Saddleback Church while attending a small group at a doctor's house. I basically deformed in front of the doctor who ran the small group fellowship and he never even care...

Re: 4 truths to prove evolution is religious and not scientific

And no we are behind the world because our kids are lazy christians whose parents believe as you do. What an absurd and dimwitted comment. Do you have any evidence at all to back up such a stupid claim? He doesn't feel he needs pesky things like evidence to back up his stupid claims. He's a legend ...

Re: Pagan Christianity

Is this a thread to discuss Christianity's evolution in a pagan environment or whether George Barna and Frank Viola proved their hypothesis in their popular book 'Paganized Christianity'? George and Frank's hypothesis: 1. The origin of many of our church practices (examples: church buildings, orders...
