Men can do laundry, too
A man decides he can do his own darn laundry and grabs his sweatshirt. With determination, he heads to the laundry room. Upon seeing all the dials and switches and other contraptions on the front of the washing machine, he leans his head out of the laundry room door. "Honey," he shouts. &q...

Re: New young scientist vs old hat scientist
Believing in the bible alone does require a big leap of faith. We have the bible telling us to trust the bible, and that seems to be it. Like i said, i am not a Christian because of the bible. I believe the bible because i am a christian. I know it is a slight change in the wording, but it makes a d...

Re: The Fall of Man
I would suggest a book for you, Misquoting Jesus by Bart D. Ehrman. He does a much better job of explaining this than me. I will read this book if you read "WHen Critics Ask", by Hugh Ross (and another person, his name escapes me at the moment) However, i do have one question. I don't mea...

Re: The Fall of Man
In my limited capacity as a human full of questions, how could I dare say to another person that the God he worships is a false God. I feel an approach such as this would be unacceptable to the teachings of love by Jesus. If the other person worships a false God, they worship a false God. The lovin...

Letter to God
Sorry if this is a rerun: A little boy wanted a bike. The one he wanted costs $100.00. He asked his mom and dad. They said they didn't have the money. His parents suggested that the boy write a letter to God asking for the money. So the boy wrote a letter: Dear God, I know you are busy, but can i pl...

Re: Theory on evolution/creation
If the fossil record is all you're going by to prove evolution, you should probably take a second look. The fossil record is one of the holes in the evolutionary theory. There aren't any gradual changes shown in it.

Re: The Fall of Man
I can't not comprehend a situation where a Buddhist person who had never even heard of Jesus standing before God saying I worshiped and was devout all of my life, and God saying tough, you are condemned. You were born in the wrong place, sorry. I agree here, in part. The biggest part, though, is th...

Re: Theory on evolution/creation
I can understand the argument of creation with the appearence of age (pretty much what you're stating), even though i don't agree with it. But if God created the animals "already evolved" (ie in their present form), then how do we draw the conclusion they were evolved? If he created them i...

Re: The Fall of Man
And yes, God does have some responsible in this matter. He created them and the situation that resulted in the Fall. If I created a free willed android and he kills someone. I will stand trial for it. Utimately, the creator will be responsible for his creation. If the creators of the atomic bomb ha...

Re: The Fall of Man
I do think the flaw in your argument relates to the situation with which one finds them. If you purposely placed a pedophile in a room with a young child and then left them alone for an indefinite period of time, would you not be guilty? If you added Satan urging the pedophile to act upon his devia...

Re: The Fall of Man
You have to define what you mean by “aged” for the only definition I know of this is one grows until about 17 or 18 and then begins to deteriorate. There is nothing in the story that suggests Adam and Eve physically changed in anyway before the Fall. Thus, they could have been there for a very lon...

Re: The Fall of Man
I've read through the above posts and i'm going to throw in a few random thoughts. This is not an aspect of this argument but I have always wondered that if God is omniscient, knowing everything, then before he created Man he knew they would fail. I am told by some of my friends, that I should not a...

Re: 1 Corinthians 14:34
1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. What's up with this? I thought that with the coming of Jesus, "the Law" went out the window. How can a logical argument be made to just...

Re: No Evidence for Creation?
Why would you blame someone for smoking anyway I don't mean blame. Bad choice of word. Held responsible? If they didn't know it was bad for them, it was not necessarily a bad decision that they deserve the punishment for. If someone starts smoking now, fully aware of the consequences, then it is th...
