Re: The Unforgivable Sin

One of my favourite sinners, Charles Bukowski wrote “If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose” .

I do hope he was saved in the end y[-o<

Re: Inner witness of the Holy Spirit.

Ok. But I thought on skeptic who is close to me and knows I have not visited any self-help seminar or such. Of course Hana. If God is within you, and His love is shown through you, it's possible that skeptic can see the genuine change in you. My husband has seen the change in me, he tells me I am e...

Re: Why do men have more dominance than women?

I get carried away sometimes  Its too big a topic to tackle in one post but I'll consider your response, Phil, even if I don't respond here. You mentioned your wife being older, I am 12 years older than my husband.

Re: Christian Testimonies - Share yours?

I think somewhere in the NT it says something about not being able to stop singing His praise - well if it doesn't it should  - I am not so good at recalling chapter and verse. However, the more I read the more I am in love with Jesus Christ. what a guy! I hear his Father is kinda cool too...

Re: My testimony - continued

Tawny, my heart goes out to you. I want to share with you what kept me from God for so long. I am 53 and only just stopped being an atheist. I turned my back on God at the age of 10 when some pretty horrible things happened to me (thankfully not sexual abuse but I won't go into it here). I reasoned ...

Re: Homosexual Marriage (aka digging up a hot-button topic)

Is the man who commits adultery - even with his eyes - any less of a sinner than the man who has had a 23 year faithful relationship with another man? Jesus told us marriage is between one man and one woman. No, these are no different. But as for your comparison, why do you feel the need to clarify...

Re: Why do men have more dominance than women?

About three days ago I got into a little argument on why men are much more dominant than their female counter parts. Let me be clear about this, what I said to her I did not agree with, but it's the truth. So here's the scoop. A friend of mine posted something on facebook asking why when men have s...

Why Four Gospels?

Why Four Gospels? Arthur W. Pink I started reading this last night and am only up to Luke but I love it! it was first published early in the 20th century and I found it on my Biblos app. So many layers to the Bible I never knew. The Bible and its commentaries are the most fascinating things I have e...

Re: The Unforgivable Sin

I love this forum, blasphemy, chocolate and toilet seats, I was worried I'd have to lose my sense of humour after becoming a Christian (not to mention learn to like John Denver instead of Nine Inch Nails). I clicked into this one because I had been pondering about what could be unforgiveable, had I ...

Re: Does 666 Spell Rockefeller?

Awwww I feel like I got the good bit in a mystery novel and some joker pasted clown pictures over the pages! I was enjoying F L's discussion andi nterpretation. Any chance of getting back to it? Of course I could get back to it...but I'm leaving on a 3-week vacation next Friday, so I won't be posti...

Re: Homosexual Marriage (aka digging up a hot-button topic)

Not encouraging or accepting the lifestyle but following the example set by Jesus when he engaged the Samaritan woman in conversation by the well. Not being Christ it will take us more than one conversation and there will be failures but it is where God has led me.
