Re: Is it possible?
Has anybody on this board actually beat this? What finally made it work? God bless! I think the determining factor for me was changing the way I thought about sex. When I became a Christian I no longer pursued sex as a fun thing to do with my wife or by myself, once i became a Christian it became m...

Is it possible?
Is it possible to completely halt masturbation?
Because for a long time I've thought it as a nearly impossible task until recent times since the Lord has given me strength.

Re: Molinism discussion
The whole No Free will statement because we are a slave to sin is a stretch. Sure we are a slave to sinful desires either in us and/or the world but that does not mean we do not have enough free will to choose God since ..look... here we are as God's children yet we were sinful from the day we were...

That's true and that still fits with my view, where did you see that it didn't?wrain62 wrote:CeT-To wrote:I would go so far as to say that not even the angels without the HS can be morally perfect ( which isn't far IMO hahah).

Re: Man's guilt, before God.
Romans appears to indicate that both elements are at work. We're collectively identified with Adam and born with a sin nature and we affirm that nature in that all of us manifest that sin nature when we sin. Christ is the second Adam with whom those who come to Christ are identified through Salvati...

Re: Infinite punishment for finite sins
I'm not an expert on hell, but I have a thought or two about whether ancient people needed to figure things out on their own before Christ came. We Catholics believe in what some theologians call the Limbo of the Fathers . The Apostle's Creed , not the Nicene one, tells me that Our Lord "desce...
