Re: Pregnant Wife
All is better. Wife and baby are safely home. Found out later that if the heartrate had not gone down (it did :ewink: ) than they said they would have had to abort the baby to save her. Phew.... She did have the flu and now is out of work until 12/31. Thank you so much for the prayers, i am sure tha...

Pregnant Wife
My wife is in the hospital (has been in since saturday morning). She had a fever of 102.6 at one point, and her heart rate was up to almost 150 while laying down. They are worried she has the flu. Thankfully, she is doing better today. Her temp is down to 99-100, and her resting heart rate is about ...

Re: Local Flood vs Global Flood
Not an expert on flood stuff, but i notice this right away:
God never did destroy "all flesh" in a literal way since Noah and his immediate family were saved.
Not sure if that was mentioned earlier, but there's my 2 cents

Proverbs 30:7-9 7Two things I ask of you, O Lord; do not refuse me before I die: 8Keep falshood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9Otherwise, I may have to much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so ...

Re: Love your enemies - should we even love Satan?
I wasn't trying to excuse a person's actions, only to separate them in regards to whether we should love them or not. We should not let a person's actions cause us to not love them. The bible says to love our neighbors. Period. Not love our neighbors as long as they are good. It doesn't say, "L...

Speaking as a (happily) married man, i also agree it is very complicated. But, what fun thing isn't complicated?

A Thank You
A Thank You: I would like to give thanks for the many blessings in my life. First and foremost, I would like to thank You, oh God, for creating me as You saw fit. You formed me from the beginning with the only mentality and mindset that would have made it possible for me to survive in the life ahead...

Re: restored church of God
I do agree that the works themselves are meaningless (in regards to our salvation). However, a saved soul will try to follow God. Outwardly confessing Christ as your savior doesn't mean anything unless you inwardly mean it. Since God is the only judge of our hearts, i cannot look at a fellow christi...

Re: Confused
I side with FFC. God will judge the heart. If their heart was truly towards God, regardless of how well they kept the law, they were saved. A good example would be the man who was stoned to death in the OT for stealing gold and stuff from Jericho. He was stoned by his own people. He broke the law. H...

Re: Love your enemies - should we even love Satan?
I haven't read through the entire thread, just the latest few posts. But I do believe we are to love satan, just as we love ourselves (not saying i can do this BTW). CS Lewis talked about it. He says how can we love someone so evil, while still not approving of his actions. He points out that we do ...

Re: restored church of God
I think what is important (after we are saved) is the attempt. If we give our heart to Jesus and confess him as our God, we are saved. But, if after we do this we ignore Jesus and go about our own business, then i do not believe we are saved, since i would not think that the confession was real. I w...
