Re: I am not like them

Religion is still considered by many to be a part of a person's cultural identification. For instance in the Balkans - if you're Catholic, it is assumed that you're Croatian, if you're Eastern Orthodox, it's assumed that you're Serbian, or if you're Muslim, it's assumed that you're Bosnian. That's ...

Re: So Christians are unintelligent??

Funny how they think they themselves are God and the rest of us are just stupid and can't possibly comprehend their amazing qualities. :pound: Their behavior probably stems from a need to be recognized as an intellectual, above the "masses" (because of a lack of real intellectual achievem...

Re: Fake Account- Cheating Boyfriend

Because Im sixteen, apperantly there is no possible way for me and my fiancé to have a committed relationship and work through our problems. (...) And instead of trying to work things out, I'm told to just leave the man I love. To work out a relationship, it takes two persons. If your partner is no...

Re: Fake Account- Cheating Boyfriend

it seems as if you've centered your whole life on this guy. You're sixteen, and you're living together, and you don't WANT to have to admit that you guys aren't working out, or that you guys won't in the future. You've become so wrapped up in him, that you are willing to do anything if it means thi...

I said no three times and then we just kinda layed there. Then he went ahead and did it anyways. Right afterwards I locked myself in t...

Re: Fake Account- Cheating Boyfriend

I just wanna find out if he is faithful or not before I die from stressing out about it. ( it also seems like I have to initiate all of the loving, like kissing or hugging and such. =,< I just wanna know the truth. It's quite obvious that he's no longer interested in you. Unfortunately, it happens ...

Re: "Who Knows the Bible Best?" is a pretty interesting arti

Not really a critique here, but this is probably the best forum and I wanted to bring this up. The newest page here is pretty intriguing. Baptists and non-denominational Christians being the most knowledgeable about the Bible, not sure that's what I would have guessed. My guess as far as the reason...

Thanks, Jac. I'm not American so it's obvious why I asked you about your laws and customs. ;)

If we assume that God exists, and that He is omniscient, then everything else that exists was thought of. 8)

Re: The natural progression of same sex marriage

Let's clarify something. What is discrimination ? According to dictionary.com, to discriminate means to: 1. to make a distinction in favor of or against a person or thing on the basis of the group, class, or category to which the person or thing belongs rather than according to actual merit; show pa...

Re: The natural progression of same sex marriage

Byblos, I don't see any other way but this leading to legal polygamy. If under state law, the definition of marriage can be changed to accommodate same sex unions, then how could the state then say consenting polygamists can't " marry"? I agree fully. I'm slightly tired and busy at the mo...

Re: The natural progression of same sex marriage

What you say about marriage being a legal contract with the government is true. Right now, marriage has two components in the US for most couples: The legal side which includes benefits and rights from the government, and the religious/spiritual side, which means nothing to the government and is on...
