Re: restored church of God

I agree with everyone 8) . I believe that all that is needed to be saved is to admit our sin and put our faith in Christ. HOWEVER, if we do this and intentionally continue in a life of sin, we are not truly saved, since we never meant our confession. If we do not make an attempt, regardless of how f...

Re: free will

I believe that simply because God knows what will happen doesn't mean we don't have freewill. He simply knows what choices we are going to make. When he chose to send MOses, he knew Moses wasn't going to want to go. He also knew that after a little prodding, he would go. I'm not educated on the end ...

Re: sabbath keeping

But when the commandment was given, the hebrews had already named the days. If God really cared what day it was, he would have specified. "Worship on Saturday." He is very clear in all of the OT laws, why not specify the day?

Re: restored church of God

Don't have time to dig right now, but my first impression from those verses simply talks about a church working together, not necessarily be the "true" church. It only sounds to me like structure is being discussed. Staying 'plugged in' to the church.
Again, that's my first impression.

Washington (Sorry, they keep coming to me)

GOd was missing for six days. On the seventh day, Michael, the archangel, looks for him. He finds him resting. "God, what are you doing," Michael asks. "Phew," God replies. "I just got done creating the earth." "What's that?" "My new creation. It will be ...

Re: restored church of God

I'm afraid i don't what exact verse your talking about. But, in short, no, i don't think there is any one church that has it right. I think every church is different for a reason, and that reason is to attract more followers. If you (or me or anyone) believes the restored church of god is the only '...

Re: sabbath keeping

Why did God command we keep the SABBATH and not the SATURDAY? I'm sure if he cared what day it was, the commandment would have read: Remember to rest on SATURDAY and keep it holy.

Re: holidays

i'm not sure if this is pertinant to the argument or not, but i watned to share the reasons i heard as to why we switched from Saturday to Sunday. But, before i do, i want to clarify that i do not think the day is important, only the fact that we take that day. Soldiers cannot rest on specific days,...

Nordakota

A man living in minnesota decides he needs to buy a cow. He heads to nearby Nordakota (that's North Dakota in Minnesotian), and finally finds one he likes. He bends down to see if it produces milk. As he pulls on the teat, the cow farts. He looks back at the farmer, who just shrugs. So he bends down...

Re: restored church of God

Never heard of the "Restored Church of God", but i can almost assure that the "True Church" does not exist here on earth. Man will never agree on all aspects of christianity.

Re: holidays

Ok, let me ask you this then. How do you know Jesus' resurrection was on Sunday and wheres the scripture to back this up? At the end of Luke, the talk about the day before the resurrection as being a Sabbath. If that is a saturday (which i do not believe any is arguing that they celebrated the sabb...

Re: Questions on Evolution

First of all, thanks, zoe, i knew you'd be the first to reply. That being said... Very good question....there are some hypothesis that state that very simple chemosynthesis pathways started by using anaerobic pathways and complex inorganic compounds. These enzymes would have been trapped in phosphol...

Re: The true religion

I don't think so.

Like i said, i don't really think the day matters. Getting caught up in the exact day takes away from what the day is supposed to mean.
