Re: Genesis 9:5
Jesus must have appeared a bit wacko rebuking the winds and sea causing the storm to stop, I mean can you picture anyone else doing that and not being considered a freak? I think some will be surprised when they see trees and rivers clapping their hands, mountains and hills singing before the Lord....

Re: Are babies born atheists?
Idk about babies but toddlers naturally accept the idea of a god. Check out this- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/3512686/Children-are-born-believers-in-God-academic-claims.html I remember, and others do too, of naturally sensing that there was something bigger than us, even one that was a ...

Re: Genesis 9:5
[ The soul is that which animates the body. Any thing that grows has a soul which is returned to its maker after the body dies. There are, however, different types of souls. Where would germs fit into this? Ik they used to be called plants or animals but now they are not. Do you include them as ani...

Re: Mediate or Immediate? God Forming Us In Our Mother's Womb
You raise another interesting issue. Yes, it raises different questions at different levels, I think are good to consider and think through. Such makes it quite difficult to answer, more than what I first thought when posting the question. For example, I did change my answer from "mediate"...

Re: Mediate or Immediate? God Forming Us In Our Mother's Womb
Did God create us in our mother's womb in a mediate (i.e., indirect through nature processes) or immediate (special direct creation) manner? Here is some Scripture on which to base you response. Psalm 139:13-16 (ESV) For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I pra...

Re: Jesus's death
introduced doctrines ( along with their own translation of the bible) to make themselves different. What irks me is how they change their doctrine when prophecy fails and try to keep people in the dark, calling the revision "new light". Can't be honest and admit error, eh? Don't want peop...

Re: God and the East
Not just the Far East but the far north was a hard region to spread the gospel. Far north being the Baltic states of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The resistance to missionary attempts kept Christianity at bay until about 1200 A.D. when the Northern Crusades were undertaken to force conversion upo...

I think the rest of the media would back him on that one, since it would be a real concern.

Re: human/ape similarity
Why'd God make us similar to apes? This is directed to those who accept we came from apes and those who don't. We did NOT come from apes. Apes and humans share a common ancestor. Same building blocks, that's all. I remember now that we had a primate ancestor that apes and hominids branched off of, ...

Re: Genesis 9:5
How does an animal give account to God for killing a person? So far two answers seem possible-God will kill that animal, or there will be a sort of day or reckoning in the animal's afterlife, if they even have one. Do animals go to hell? I don't think they do, they seem to be in the same group like...

Maybe this is what the whole thing really is.

the media says this and it pulls everyone in, which makes the media say something and repeat.
