Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
You just practiced some silly jumbo jumbo rituals in church on Sundays and prayed to your made-up god. Face it, you were a fake Christian. Aren’t you the one always claiming to be an ex-atheist? How is that any different? Kettle meet pot! I was born into an atheist family and was raised an atheist....

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
Ken, I'm just showing that Scripture does not teach of people being saved who later are no longer saved. I never said anything about being saved. 1 John is a letter written by the Apostle - I won't even get into whether it's inspired by God with an unbeliever who doesn't even believe God exists. Be...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
While it's true that no one ELSE can know for sure that a person who at least appears saved, and at least SEEMS to believe and follow Christ, for a period, is saved or not. No, YOU won’t know either because nobody knows what decisions they will make in life between now and death But if they eventua...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
Ken: If "temporary/eternal" life is an oxymoron, why did you bring it up? Only because of what you have asserted about yourself - but you could only have once been a Christian if such an oxymoron /contradictory position could ever have existed in a person - that is, in ANY person! 1 John ...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
Ken: What does TEMPORARY/eternal mean? That's a great question - because the term is an oxymoron - least according to Scripture, when a person is saved, that is an ETERNAL position - as they'll never again NOT be saved! Scripture notes that mere belief is not enough to save, as it says, even demons...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
... A Christian is just someone who profess a belief in Jesus the Christ. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Christian Just because you say it does not make it so; if you can find an outside source that supports your claim, your words would be more believable. Otherwise you are just describ...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
...I’m not a Christian, although I was for some time.... Good Gawd...anyone who says “I’m not a Christian but I used to be” doesn’t even understand what being a Christian is. Once you become a Christian, there is no going back. It’s impossible. Those who say “I used to be a Christian” are actually ...

Re: Atheism on the rise
I think it would be foolish to blame the fringe nut jobs like the ones in the photo as the reason for the rise in Atheism, I think it is much deeper than that; I think the internet and information age has more to do with it than anything else. No...while there are some intelligent and knowledgeable...

Re: Christianity: the greatest love story ever told
I'm not a Christian, although I was one for a short time. I’m not buyin’ it, I think you’re still a Christian So why is this the greatest love story? You can measure the love of an action by the distance that the lover crossed for the beloved. The Jesus story is a story of a God who crossed an infi...

Re: If God Made the Universe, Who Made God?
EVERY contingent thing that exists or has existed has had a source. And every thing that has incredibly complex design had a designer! Why would you just assume the Universe is designed and is contingent? But you can imagine what blind, random things are capable of, I disagree. Nobody knows enough ...

Re: If God Made the Universe, Who Made God?
Army, the idea of a multiverse - or sequence of them - has zero evidences. Oh, the idea does have a lot of CONJECTURE - but nothing exists beyond people theorizing about them. And as the idea that such universes existing - The same can be said concerning your theory of an intelligent creator as well.

Re: If God Made the Universe, Who Made God?
Ken: I don't think it is a matter of if something or someone has always existed, not much debate there; the debate is who or what has always existed. That is where everybody disagrees on. Ken is exactly right - something, or rather, SOMEONE, had to have pre-existed the universe. That's not what I s...

Re: Atheism on the rise
Why is atheism on the rise and why do they think there is no evidence for God? Why do people equate atheism with smarts and theism as stupid? Mr Bowling gave you the biblical answer; I’ll give you just one reason from the secular realm: When nominal Christians saw that evangelicals supported Trump ...
