Re: Evolution observed in bacteria?

How many genera are there? So you believe that since the flood, there has been evolution (changes in species/genera, which I take as macroevolution) of the animals that had survived? Or, just small changes that don't reflect macroevolution?

Re: Confusion

I agree with all of the responses here. You've been dealing with this for awhile and know more. Is he unrepentent? Is he looking for acceptance of sin? I think it would be harder to maintain friendship in this situation, but I think only you can know that. There are people I've known who purposely ...

Re: Evolution observed in bacteria?

He may partly mean adaptations that are reflections of recessive genes coming to the forefront. Like what's seen in domesticated plants and animals. Dog kinds can be highly different from one another, but all the differences come about from genes that are already there. But those are just races of ...

Re: Newsweek Article "Will Physicists Find God?"

Well they are turning the accelerator on next month. If we are not all sucked into a black hole, are there any physicists on here that can explain what exactly is the point of all this and how it might affect Christian Belief (if any). Much appreciated SIlvertusk I found this article a while back o...

Re: Questions about the fall of Satan and original sin?

JC333, you asked me if I read the Dawkin's Delusion and I didn't answer you. No, I haven't. Are you planning on reading it? It's amazing how many books are out on this subject (antiDarwinism).

And thanks cross.eyed!

Re: Heaven

I am very sorry over your loss, and your son's family's loss. I do not want to think about how I would feel if my son went to be with the Lord, although at this point I'm sure he'd be in heaven. My father died when I was 12, and he was 44. It was so awful, for years even, so I know it's tough in ma...

Re: Neopets anyone?

I play World of Warcraft - is that a bad thing? I don't know. Would you defend it well to other Christians? I guess that's what I'd go by. We play Pokemon games and others, and I feel that if I couldn't make a case for playing them - that they would have either a neutral or positive effect on us - ...

Re: Smilies and Emoticons

palindrome?!?!? A palindrome is a word, phrase, number or sequence of units that can be read the same in either direction. "As I pee, sir, I see Pisa!" "Murder for a jar of red rum." @ cslewislover That is a bear hug... :) . . Oh, lol, I see that. I guess the "tears" (semicolon) threw me off. They ...

Re: Luke 24:46: "The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead

The commentary I have provides that the OT verses applicable to Luke 24:46 are: Suffering - Psalm 22:1-21 and Isaiah 53:1-9; Rising - Psalm 16:10, Jonah 1:17, and Hosea 6:2. From Believer's Bible Commentary by William MacDonald (Nelson 1995), p. 1458. I hope that helps.

Re: Questions about the fall of Satan and original sin?

That's really neat about your paper and your success in talking with people about it. Yeah it was a pretty awesome week. I even got to present it at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) which is a school club.[/quote] Wow, very cool. But which book would I recommend to a high schooler? Those two ...

Smilies and Emoticons

Do you have a humorous emoticon to share? I look new ones up off-and-on. I ran across a Dave Berry web page that is for emoticons. Not all are suitable for children! But I liked this one: >:-[-{9 Can you guess what it is? Answer: "Person who is none too pleased to be giving birth to a squirrel"

Re: It never ends does it?

:pound: That is so funny. I would rather keep the loiterers out too, and have some privacy. I have a really cute picture of my son, when he was two, holding a garter snake. We were visiting in Michigan (that's where I'm from - I really don't like Southern California). I'll see if I can scan it and u...
