Re: God and Jesus
And by what authority and evidence do you make that claim? Paul, I'm not saying it was or wasn't, but only asking how you can make exclusive claims like this. Are you saying that you know for certain that say, Simeon and Anna, who were expecting the Messiah didn't read Isaiah's words that way? Can ...

Re: Free will
Free will is being free to exercise your "will" to do or do NOT something. Free will is irrespective of the outcome of whatever decision we make. The only time we do NOT have free will is if we do NOT have ANY choice to make, even predetermined choices ( one can only choose from the availa...

Re: Catholic doctrine of Creation
While there are some doctrines that CAN lead one astray from Christ, I don't think Creation is one of them. Galileo was a Christian and the church didn't "disagree" with him, they said he need more proof, that isn't the same thing.
To discount all that science has shown us to be so is to suggest a conspiracy of epic preportions with NO reason for being.

But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “ Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then He *said to the disciple, “Behold,...

Saint Augustine was from the 4th century, not the sixth. Is there a reason that the NT does NOT mention that Joseph of Arimathea was a relative of Jesus? it does say for fear of the Jews etc - it does seem it would become public knowledge - I read it is mentioned in the Torah or Talmud - twinc The ...

Re: Who nailed Him ?
The Romans were "excused" in the sense that they TRULY had no idea what they were doing. The Sanhedrin (not the Jews) on the other hand, were fully aware of what they did. not exactly - the jews ran before Him with hosannas and would have Him for King which was exactly what Pilot and the ...

Re: Shroud of Turin
As for the reference to a cloak in 2 Timothy 4:13, I find it very difficult to believe that Paul would refer so casually to such an important connection to Jesus. Note also that within his same instructions he seems to indicate that the "parchments" are of even greater importance. Notice ...
