Re: Leviticus 19:28 says Tatoos are a No No
Okay... Here we go Leviticus 19:28 the scripture in question says, "Ye shall NOT make ANY CUTTINGS IN YOUR FLESH for the dead, NOR PRINT ANY MARKS UPON YOU: I AM THE LORD. Leviticus is the book of the very detailed walk, worship, and service of the redeemed (believer) people of God. Its all part of ...

Re: Leviticus 19:28 says Tatoos are a No No
Um, Its called PERSONAL CONVICTIONS... If the HS convicts you then to you and Him it is wrong. If your not convicted I cannot hold that against you. I can only tell you why I'm convicted and why I think it is wrong. 1)Our Body is a TEMPLE (Should be pleasing and holy to God) 2)Our Body is a gift giv...

Re: a question about salvation.
It is truly all about a state of innocence and accountability, we also need remember the LORD is "faithful and just". The supposed guy in the hypothetical question would be no difference than a babe in Christ or a physical child with a child like nature. I would say the fellow is going to Heaven. We...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
Lets suppose I am wrong, no harm done cause according to you I'm eternally secure forever, but what if you wrong; that would suck!!! If I am wrong and your implication is that I'm not saved for the certain personal believe I hold according to scripture and its meaning then I have in fact "lost" my s...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
I think that is to be understood, however what has not been understood is if one "living it" can in return choose to surrender it? If so how, is it through disobedience and sin? Can they after surrendering it come back into fellowship? Apostasy would be complete turning from/renouncing of one's fait...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
Fine, jlay, "If our salvation is eternally secure, why does the Bible warn so strongly against apostasy for?" Please tell me exactly what you personally believe! I will look at your link in due time, but I'm not going to discuss repentance... it seems self explanatory at least scripturaly. Please te...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
@ Jlay, I know your preoccupied right this moment, however I do have some additional thoughts... John 15:1 So the branches are "believers". The vine produces fruit and we the branches are to bear fruit. Very true statement, correct? We are suppose to, commanded to, and whether we do or not is a diff...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
You said, "I certainly hope you wouldn't use this verse to attempt to say that we can both be right at the same time when it comes to eternal security." No, not to if we are right or wrong pertaining to the doctrine of eternal/conditional security, but I can to say that we can both be right at the s...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
Your right, He will keep us strong as long as we abide in Him! He is able to keep us from stumbling or falling as long as we are with Him! If you cannot have an effective fellowship without salvation because our salvation allows us to fellowship with Him then point made. If you cannot have one witho...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
"Do you have to be a good father to be a father? Do you have to be a good husband to be a husband? Do you have to be a good friend to be a friend?" To further your question or train of thought I would ask, why wouldn't you, especially if you really love them? How do you show your love...? Certainly ...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
"A believer compromises his fellowship when he sins." Question: Does our salvation make us in fellowship with GOD, or can you have an "effective fellowship" with GOD without salvation? If so I agree, if not, well then I must re-quote you, "a believer compromises his salvation when he chooses to sin ...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
I'm quite hesitant to comment, but I will none the less... Since apostasy was brought up we should probably re-look at Hebrews 6 the chapter because its quite obvious its a direct warning (command) to saved Christians not to apostatize. We should leave our own first principles after becoming studier...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
Thank you, your last message has been received and well-taken. I accept it and claim it. I apologize if I seemed somewhat on the defense and/or if you thought I may have been lashing out. I guess that's my fault for not even paying attention to whom even really posted it. I thought it was the same p...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
Considering you posted in the public domain, I too choose to respond publicly. Thank you for the welcome, be it lukewarm as it may be, but none the less I receive it. I no longer feel welcomed and I will soon delete the elongated dissertations by Dan Corner. Please don't think that anyone on hear as...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE
The Never Saved Argument Scrutinized Dan Corner For a person to say that a professing Christian was never saved, if he turns away from God to sin, is fallacious in at least 7 different areas. If you are a Christian, carefully ponder the following so you can help others see the dangerous folly of su...
