reliabiltiy
The question you are asking is not 'is this story reliable', but is the Bible reliable. Did God create everything from nothing? Did Moses see a bush burning but not being consumed? Did Jesus walk on the water? Was Jesus raised from the dead? Did Elijah go to heaven in a fiery chariot? Did Elisha mak...

intercessory prayer
My experience with almost every scientific study is that if you play with the numbers enough you can get any result you want. It appears that is what this writer did. But then the same can be argued for the people who did the studies originally. If you really want to see if prayer works, don't go to...

ufo
I found it interesting that they said it headed towards an air force base. I think that if you stood near an air force base or airport, you would most likely see something. If he was able to do as he claims one would think he would have one land so it can be seen clearly.

contraception
When talking about contraception you must be careful to decide what kind you are talking about. Some, condoms, prevent the sperm from fertilizing the egg. Others, some pills, allow the fertilization, but then have the hours old fetus aborted. If you believe life begins at conception, then some forms...

prayer of one
Something to think about - Abraham prayed for Sodom and Gomorrah and God listened - Moses prayed for the children of Israel and God listened and did not destroy them. I can't think of the exact verses but I think you get the idea.

are we just hairless apes with souls?
They cannot have a soul in the same sense we have a soul. They cannot make a decision about salvation, they have no understanding of eternal life, they have no understanding of God, they cannot make a decision based on God's laws. Will they be in heaven? I don't know, I have heard arguements both wa...

a little scared
I had a similar experience but not nearly as dramatic. When I was saved I too was 'pushed' into things I didn't understand. I had a dream where I saw a boy wearing a T-shirt, and on the shirt was 1 Peter 2:2, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby"...

origin of the universe
Without God an athiest must believe one of two things, either matter always existed and was always just there, or somehow matter came into existance from nothing. Both of these require a great leap of 'faith'. What happens after matter 'existed' can always be interpreted in many different, both athi...
