harry potter

I have always had reservations about any movie or book that involves wizards and magic. My own feeling is you must consider how God plays into the mix. If God is devoid of the story then I would say it is wrong, and yes, this includes many Disney movies. If God is present and in a positive light the...

lineage

Jesus was the son of Joseph in a family sense. In His earthly family, Joseph was His father. Adam was the son of God in the sense that God created him.

Over the years they have found some fish that have thought to have been exinct for millions of years. To me, these are akin to dinosaurs and prove that 'dinosaurs' are present with us today. I can't remeber the name of the fish but I remember one in the '60's or 70's they found. Maybe someone could ...

life

I odn't understand all the terms mentioned but the idea that life on earth originated on some other 'planet' difficult to understand. If it couldn't develop here, why could it develop elsewhere and somehow live through the vacuum of space for ??? million years to get here. Have you ever considered t...

origins

Whatever happened to the theory that makes the most sense. God made it all the way it is. He made everything compete. Nothing can date the earth back a billion years. Even the methods used to date rocks to hundreds of thousands of years have been proven totally unreliable. Thinking that life could e...

Moses

Youi must realize that any tv show feels no obligation to accuracy. All they are interested in is making a show that people will watch and therefore make money. I'll agree they are interesting and usually have the basic story line, but many things are left out and others added in the interest of ent...

shroud

Although I find the shroud interesting, I also find it irrelevant. No matter what tests are done, or what the findings are, nothing can ever be proven about it in relation to Christ and nothing changes if they say it is of Christ or not. To me it's mildly interesting, but that is all.

grasshoppers

Here is an interesting article about an infestation of grasshoppers in Minnestoa in the mid-1870's. The interesting part is the end of the article where they list theories for the quick departure of the grasshoppers. (Since it is a long URL and I'm not sure how to list it as that you may have to cop...

noah's flood

There is much scientific evidence that supports a flood. The formation of oil deposits and fossils is supported by a flood model. The concentration of dinosaur fossils is certain areas is predicted by a flood model. Water could easily have covered the earth if there were no mountains. Beecause of th...

The verse does not say she is a weaker vessel, but to give her honour as youi would to a weaker vessel. The verse also says a man and wife are heir together, not one more important or better than the other. Ephesians 5:2, So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife ...

Jesus and the gospel

If Jesus did preach the gospel in hell that would mean that people in hell could be saved. Why would He teach it if it meant nothing? If people in hell can be saved then your place of residence upon death may not be final. Could this mean that those in heaven could face the possibility of still goin...

pentecostals

I have been a member of the Pentecostal Church in Canada for 30 years and what you posted is news to me. We believe in the trinity, we believe in baptism of the Holy Spirit but not that it is necessary for salvation, and evidence of speaking in tounges is encouraged but not absolutely required. I th...

Marriage is a religious institution and therefore part of a system of beliefs. If the government is allowed to make laws changing this religious belief, then what other ones will you allow them to change?
