Re: Evidence for theistic evolution
If being a God is not proof of evolution but that the bible is real. What is the difference in a horse five thousand years ago then a horse to day. The way horse are being bred doesn't count that is not by natural process. Horses today are a lot different to how they were thousands of years ago, an...

Re: Doctrine of Hell
I don't agree with that.
We can do our best without Jesus, lots do but if we do not believe in Jesus then we won't be saved.
It's not about how good we are. It's about belief.

Re: Eternal Security...
Not necessarily. We don't magically transform. All we can do is our bedt to follow Christ.
I disagree about works without salvation. I think there are people who try and live like Christ without necessarily being Christian.

Re: Evidence for theistic evolution
First of all for any kind of evolution to be true there has to be a reason why it started. or we would have all kinds of universe all over the place in different stages of life second everything seems to be going on the same way for thousands of years now. Seems to me we would have seen some of thi...

Re: Doctrine of Hell
Then you undermine your argument about salvation. (Sorry for cross threading here)
If nothing we do is good then what saves us? Jesus.

Re: Eternal Security...
Is that not a parable, to demonstrate a point? The point being rejoicing in those that return.
Nobody is saying they don't care or that they don't try. We sre saying our actions and deds do not save us.

Re: Eternal Security...
You can look at this way to why should we confess our sins if he is going to forgive them any ways. That verse is another reason I think it is possible to backslide. I do think that we make mistakes as Christians but the attitude that it doesn't matter is what I believe a real Christian will not ha...

Re: Eternal Security...
That's your interpretation of it.
So you're saying that if you are a Christian you don't sin? Sorry but we wil al sin. We are not God and only God does not sin.

Being clever doesn't necessarily make you smart either. Being open to new ideas makes you smart.

Where does it say that if someone is saved they will live right?
Being cut off for unbelief is different to not being saved. How can you be saved without belief?

Re: Does Evolution and Science draw people away from God?
Okay where did all these good ideas come from? Why do we have them? What is it that sets us apart from animals? Creation story etc, maybe just a way of trying to explain the unexplainable at that time? Jesus Himself states that He is God somewhere in the Bible I think but even if He was just a man, ...
