Re: satan and hell

Praise God that through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16,18,36).
:amen: :amen: :amen: :amen:

But let us also try to save those who do not know Jesus as their savior. Jude vs.22-23.

Re: Once Saved always saved?

Hebrews 3:14 says: We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. This verse is, in my opinion, the strongest against eternal security. I beleive the point the author of Hebrews was trying to make was if you hold to your faith and share it with others...

Re: The Authority Of Scripture

I don't see how it should sway a person away from their belief. Jesus is still the way the truth and the light. Jesus still died for our sins. Jesus is still going to come back. :amen: The way I look at it, if God's word is going to get twisted it will always be by man, not God. I agree with you co...

Re: The Authority Of Scripture

I would side with Byblos on this one especially when it gets to the different translations of the Bible. Another popular disputed text comes from Mark 16:9-20. These verses seem to be omitted from the original texts... There is no need to panic however about the Bible's authority. Although things m...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?

Back in the 80's I was definitely taught macro-evolution in the public school systems. If they are not teaching it now it is because there is no proof of it.. That is why the lean is on micro-evolution now. I was taught the same thing back then. I have noticed that they always change how they teach...

The Anti-Christ

So, I was sitting here thinking about the rise of the anti-christ, and the thought popped into my head as to whether or not the anit-christ knows that it is him. We know from scripture that the false prophet will come and then the anti-christ, that the anti-christ will suffer a mortal wound, and tha...

Re: Resurrection - Letting Punishment Slide

But where they completely absolved of their sins or did their forgiveness still rest upon Jesus' sacrifice? I would imagine that it's the latter. Romans 3.23 would seem to confirm this: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Excelent question! Remember when Jesus at the Last Suppe...

Re: Oldest known human fossil found in Europe

Robert Byers Actually becoming upright should of been handled by evolution without complications. Thats the whole glory evolution claims to do. Actually there are many parts of the body which are inefficient that natural selection has explained. The reason for this is because we only need to be as ...

Re: The Rapture....and a bunch of "dead" Christians?

When Jesus was Resurrected some saints was resurrected . (one). Before Tribulation (pre-trib rapture) Resurrection (two). After the Tribulation (three). At the end of Tribulation (four). Four events of First Resurrection(believers) and one Second resurrection which is for the unbeliever. Is this wh...

Welcome, Johannes. And God Bless you.
I too had hit rock bottom when I fell out of fellowship with Jesus. I hope that you find the answers to your questions here. Feel free to ask away. Again, God Bless! y>:D<

Re: The Authority Of Scripture

Meh, that'd be a very, very weak argument on their part. Since Zech does NOT say there is only one donkey, then there is NO contradiction when Matthew points out that the donkey that Jesus rode on (as predicted) was accompanied by its mother. PM on the way. I agree with you after further looking in...

The Holocaust museum in D.C. is much the same....I;ve never been to a quieter, more somber place....I also saw the documentaries. The do make you physically ill. Physically ill...yes. Psychologically ill as well, for sensitive hearts. After our visit to Natzwiler-Struthof, my wife told me she never...

Welcome, Screwtape! This is, in fact, an active forum, although sometimes you'll have to wait a few hours for a response. Sometimes even days. Sorry if it seems like a long time! We LOVE when people ask questions...ask a few (or just one), and watch the responses flow! Also, browse through the God ...

Re: The Authority Of Scripture

Zech. doesn't say there is ONLY one animal, so I'm not sure how there is any kind of flaw in that passage. Zech just says that the Messiah will come in on a donkey/colt. Mark and Luke say that. Matthew adds that its mother came along. I don't see the problem? But more basically, if that was a flaw,...

Re: The Authority Of Scripture

yes, I agree Me too. I may have an issue with flawless but it's only a small, insignificant one. Notice this part of what Byblos said: but it's only a small, insignificant one. I choose to not stare at the speck in Byblos' eye. FL I wasn't trying to point out a speck in his eye, I have a big enough...
