Re: How do you Know There is Only one God as Opposed to Many

I watch the history channel and I read books. Many many books. Like- Why else would they leave out so much of Mary's life when she was born of a virgin birth as well!? And why would they leave out when Jesus was a child? She... wasn't born of a virgin. Yes she was. EDIT: Correction. immaculate conc...

There is no way of knowing. Except maybe... just... knowing?
I guess the same way you have conviction that there is only one God and not many. But you will find out for sure after death- well, depending.

Re: Why is Richard Dawkins so popular?

This was between you and Neo, but I'll try to clear some things up: I guess... I have an unreasonable expectation that for a religion that is supposed to be the answer to everything should... have the answer to everything. And that these answers should makes sense to everyone. Well, I don't expect ...

Then why be good in Christianity?

(I actually sent what you said to one of my Christian friends and she is very confused as well as to why you would say being a good person is worthless and means nothing)

Re: Homosexuality

Animals do have feelings though. Scientist are finding out that Dolphins are as intelligent if not more intelligent in some areas then we are. Dolphins are sexual beings. They do have preference. They do chose their lovers.

Re: Homosexuality

Many people on this site claim that animals DON'T have souls! I am happy to know that your sect of Christianity has some level of compassion for animals... I don't belong to any particular "sect" of Christianity. I don't think one has to believe some animals have souls, to have compassion for them....

Re: Check this anti-abortion site out.

Well, do you agree abortion is murder? Why or why not? Are periods murder? Is ejaculation murder? Second trimester I would say yes unless it was to save the mother. I am against abortion... but I understand why it is currently a necessary evil. Too many people want to give birth rather than adopt. ...

Re: Why is Richard Dawkins so popular?

Christianity used to be the kinder religion. It used to offer something special in comparison with everything around it. Nothing was better. But now, with so much at their finger tips, the tolerance movement, knowing there are nice people in this world who don't believe in God. Knowing more about o...

Opinions? Just platonic? Or is it romantic? It seriously made me cry the first time I read it... the beauty of their relationship whatever level it may be at... it still had some of the most beautiful quotes. y@};- Nope, they were friends, as we can see by this description: "better than the love of...

Re: Was the West founded on Christian Values?

Would you care to meet me halfway and at least agree that... they wanted everyone to have the freedom to practice how they wished and what they wished? That they were for a secular government because of the king they fled from?

Re: How do you Know There is Only one God as Opposed to Many

This is an friendly argument that started last night at a sleep over. But, anyway, I do believe in one God- but my friends do not. And given their argument- I wouldn't mind, and I would actually be overjoyed to know there were multiple Gods. A God who has companionship, is a less cranky God. :) I l...

Re: Do you believe a Christian can have a philosophical fait

There are no other gods in these religions. I am aware that some forms of Buddhism are without a god. I was addressing your question ''Do you believe a can have a philosophical faith?'' The Bible is quite clear in that philosophy is vain, worldly wisdom, foolishness and so on. Therefore, ''philosop...

Exsperiences? Miracles? I Will Share Mine.

Hey, I guess this might surprise all of you all that I have some pretty cool spiritual experiences. When I was 8/9 years old, I attempted suicide at my school. I was in the third grade. I had denied God's existence, my mother had forgotten about me even though we lived in the same home. I was told I...

Re: Do you ever feel helpless against atheists?

I am going to tell you something that may change your life. (That I tell other as well as Atheists who try to do the same thing!) Do you like it when Atheists come here and try to convert you? If yes, then you must just like arguing with them right? Or are you genuinely interested in what they have...
