Let's start with this one first: And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come . This verse to me seems to be talking about someone who ...

If your girlfriend's mom died in a state of grace with God, I would venture to say she's in a much better place right now. And even if she didn't (which I doubt very much, considering what you said about her being a devout catholic), there's always hope my friend. The journey does not end upon one'...

A little different than the fish or Cross necklace. If the flag were just declaring that the owner is a Christian that would be one thing but this is just another opportunistic sales gimmic just like those little prayer cloths and packets of special anointing oil they market on TBN and other places....

Good link. I don't think I'll take the job. I don't think I would have anyway. The decision would have been easier if his business had been a bar or liquor store.

Thanks!

Hypnotism

Howdy! What is the Biblical stance on hypnotism and what do you think of it? (two separate questions. To the Christian, it'll be one question though.) ;) Someone called today wanting us to do some SEO for their website and some other work and I'm not sure I want to do it. I think he quit selling use...

Think I'd be allowed to fly planes there? If so, maybe there won't be any crosswind landings or engine outs. :D I know. I probably won't care about airplanes there. ;)

I don't doubt that God speaks with people. Most of the time, people don't listen or let God finish talking or they just make it up. Someone walked up to me after a service years ago and said, "God told me that you have to (insert some thing or favor here)" and I told him, "Hold on brother! God told ...

I heard something a long time ago about Darwin admiting towards the end of his life that he was wrong about evolution. I don't remember a lot about it. Is this true?

Great reply Lad! Jac, you'll be alright. This is good information and the way Lad posted it, it's easy to understand. In the Bible (God's "human operating manual" and love letter to us.), God said what He means and means what He said. Try not to read more into it than what it says/implies.

Clones

There's another thread on clones but I didn't want to hijack it. I heard of a human being cloned. A clone was made of a business man that wanted a little more free time for golf. It's growth was accelerated and it had the knowledge of the original. The problem was that it was the most foul mouthed a...
