Re: The Evidence For Jesus

But here is another historical and archaeological source: ABOUT THE BIBLE AND WORLD HISTORY - World history would be hard to write were it not for the Bible and/or archaeology. Though humanists hate to admit it, historians have nowhere else to turn for written historical information before the year...

Re: How Would You Respond to this Atheist?

Quote: In fact in the Old Testament, there is a law that states, "He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:16) If you doubt the context, feel free to red the rest in the Bible. I think that this clearly shows that forced ...

Take your time by all means. Yes, I have over 36,000 posts on that site. No I am not retired. In fact I have a full time job, a part time job, and three tutoring jobs. I also do a lot of church work. But I've been on that site for almost 7 years now.

Re: More Trinity stuff

Thanks, I also believe that Moses was not ignorant of the God he worshipped, and that Paul worshipped the same God. After all, Paul does say that he worshipped 'The God of our fathers', and taught according to 'the Law and the prophets'. I don't believe the fathers believed in a trinity, and I don't...

Re: I have a question of fairness and salvation, does everyone g

YLTYLT, you will never understand God's word until you understand one little word twisted by most translations! That word is Strong' number G165 αἰών aiōn I challenge any one here on this forum to give me a word used in any scientific study or journal that has such a conflict in meaning as this wo...

Re: More Trinity stuff

I know there are those that will try to twist the text somehow by claiming that the 'He' mentioned in the text somehow refers to an exalted mortal agent of God and not to God himself or that Yehovah also refers to an exalted mortal agent and not in reference to God at all. I don't know anyone who w...

Re: More Trinity stuff

This argument of yours is like this. The word — Monotheism is not in the Bible anywhere; therefore, since this word is not in the bible — the bible does not teach Monotheism. Is this true simply because the writers did not use the word Monotheism? According to you logic — it is. If the word Trinity...

Re: More Trinity stuff

My point is that you seem to be giving the results of this poll more weight that they should. I don't think so. YOu pointed out to BW that a look at the poll would be a realityh check as if to say "everybody else gets it, why don't you?" That's pretty much right, except that I know why he doesn't g...

Re: More Trinity stuff

BW, you keep reposting arguments which have been answered many times before, and you never actually address the responses. You also continue to fill your posts with completely unsubstantiated assertions. You say things like 'Yes, the Torah beginning in Genesis chapter one reveals the Triune nature o...

Re: More Trinity stuff

Here are many passages stating the Jesus had to come down from heaven. No, none of them say he had to come down from heaven. First of course there is John 1:1-4. But I see that you have issues with these so I wont quote them. But here are others, and not all from John..... As I've said before, Jesu...

Re: More Trinity stuff

Well BW that certainly constitutes spamming this thread, if anything does. You've done nothing but repeat what has already been addressed several times. I suggest you look at the results of this poll for a reality check. As others have said concerning the question in the poll, it is quite a differe...

Re: I have a question of fairness and salvation, does everyone g

I regard to Pierac verses and questions: All are forgiven. But not all accept that they are forgiven. If I forgive someone that has done something wrong to me but they deny that what they did was wrong, even though they know deep in their heart that it was, then although I have forgiven them, forgi...

Re: More Trinity stuff

The use of the Hebrew word Elohim and Echad use in the Shema has been amply describe by the opponents of the Trinity as meaning that God is only a single entity and no other and that equates the God is One to mean that God is singular. This brings on much confusion because the bible describes God a...
