Re: What's Wrong With Calvinism?

Don't you know? We Calvinist don't believe in free will, think we are all Spiritual Robots, paint God as unfair, and hate babies. ;) I think that covers most of the common criticisms. What about the criticism of why God doesn't just save everyone? Why only the elect? And, who are the elect anyway?

What's Wrong With Calvinism?

i was watching some videos online and was introduced to Calvinism. I have read about TULIP but the part I find interesting is the theology of Election. If Election were true, it would answer a big question I have. That question being, why doesn't God just present Himself to everyone. Wouldn't everyo...

Re: Worshiping God and being male

i used to feel the same way when I was younger. I just felt strange saying, "Jesus, I love You so much", knowing I was saying this to another "male". I used to feel strange saying that to my earthly father too when I got older, even though I loved him a lot. It must be because of the culture where m...

Re: Did God Create The Trinity?

The message of Christ's death is forgiveness of sins. So..... So a second adam is forgiving your sins? I think created was a poor choice of words on my part describing Jesus. It's hard for me to fully understand how Christ became. It is equally as hard to show Christ was there from the beginning.

"eyes of love"? What does that mean?

The message of Christ's death is forgiveness of sins. So.....

Re: Did God Create The Trinity?

777777, if you don't understand the Trinity, you are missing the entire message of the Bible. Not that man dies for God again in a second Adam, but that GOD DIES FOR MAN.... Man wanted to prove his faithfulness to God when Abraham tried to sacrifice his son Isaac, from his loins, to God Genesis 22:...

OK. You have gone from pretzel twisting to hoop jumping. Why is it so clear in The New Testament?

Population Explosion

I was listening to a debate the other day with William Lane Craig and Christopher Hitchens. Lane brought up a counter point when Hitchens tried to make the point that God waited too long to send Christ to earth. "Why would God wait 100,000 years to send His Savior?", Hitchens sarcastically stated. W...

Re: Is the sol system a very specific place?

It seems to me the Bible speaks of the earth in singular form. If God created other life on other planets, wouldn't the plural form be more appropriate? Also, if God created life on other planets, why keep us separated? Is there another Moses for Planet X? Another Israel? I guess it's possible. I'm ...

Thanx to B.W. that is. :P
That's the pretzel twisting I'm talking about. I don't see the Trinity in any of those passages.

Did God Create The Trinity?

I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost but I'm curious as to why the Trinity is not mentioned in the Old Testament. It always seems like anybody who tries to claim this has to take some obscure passage and bend it into a pretzel to get it to sound like the Trinity was there from the beginning. ...

They do except Christ as one of their prophets and messengers of God.. Want me to prove it to you? I understand they believe He was a prophet b...

I found this on the Internet the other day: She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said, "How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?" The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it." Sally said, "Wh...

Re: The Holy Spirit and religous experiences discussion...

Back in late 2005, I remember going through a time when I was often in a very surreal state of mind, lasting for several weeks. It was a feeling thats very hard to describe with words. Throughout the days I would often feel like I was in a state of Euphoria, had a very strong connection with God, a...
