Right so you say if God willed something to happen - well if you notice right now it is God's choice to will something and if he wills something its because he freely choose to then it will happen. So i think it will only happen if God desires it and his desires come from his 'the Good' nature whic...

Danieltwotwenty on Wed Nov 16, 2011 5:24 pm Choice and predestination doesn't go hand in hand Our brains must compute data differently, as i can reconcile them easily in my mind. Dan, I am not talking about our choices. Predestination's line of thinking is, if God willed something to happen, it wil...

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

I wish there was a brain explosion emoticon. Choice and predestination doesn't go hand in hand, Dan. If God had choices, he had them from forever and I think you would certainly agree with me that if he wished, he could change them at his will. But when we peruse the line of thinking about predesti...

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

Hmm God's choices would be made from knowing what the best way to to carry out His will. So now i guess his will is in question of whether it was a choice and im not sure about this since because God is the Greatest Good or 'the Good' or the greatest conceivable being/ greatest possible being logica...

Re: Free will and Omniscience

I think the problem here is, when we say, God is timeless we are actually saying that the time of the creation must come after God, hence time was not always there. But it is a relative issue here. By definition, time is the period between two occurrences. So God is timeless, yes from the human sca...

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

Right so you are talking about God's un-changing of his Character! Yes i fully agree here. Despite His human "cloak," Jesus NEVER had a "human NATURE." He was still FULLY GOD, albeit in a human form. But as for WHO He was and how He thought, and what He knew, etc., none of those ever changed. Umm n...

We won't be around in the MK. We'll be dead. You won't lose salvation if you have it, now or then.

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

I wouldn't say God is unchanging i mean the second person of the trinity now has a human nature to which He did not have before. God can no doubt take on different physical forms (of Three Men, in Genesis 18:1–33); (of the Wrestler, in Genesis 32:22–30); (of Jesus, in Matthew 1:23); (of the Burning...
