Being a former tweaker, I'm sure that I would recognize and relate to the elements of such a story. But I would still find it interesting.

So with busy being an understatement, I've just been catching up on the threads and listened to the Walton lecture and the light goes off. "Hey, I have that book!" Actually, I have two of his books, but "The Lost World of Genesis One" was in between "The Anterior Construction in Classical Hebrew" a...

Re: Christian Universalism

I think if a Universalist was honest with themself, they could not abide by the doctrine of salvation for all. That line of thought is usually only held in regards to that long distance plan, "friends & family." I would be curious to see if they would feel the same way about the pedophile that raped...

Re: What is a soul?

There is a distinction being made in 1 Thess 5:23, is that what we all are trying to look into? I think Paul is setting up the hierarchy. Unregenerated, our spirit is "dead." As a result of the Fall, a shift in power has taken place and our spirit has been conquered and thus subjected to or envelop...

Re: Who created world? God or Satan?

Regardless of how we may feel about predation, killing, or maybe just eating meat, before you can legitimately ask who created, you have to know if the ability to create is possessed. I doubt one would argue or question whether or not God has the ability to create, but what about Satan? The bible ce...

Re: Commentary on Gen 1-2

No offense, but most english translations horribly mangle this verse, if I may: "and the earth had existed desolate and void of life and darkness over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God moving over the face of the waters" No offense taken, but I think your statement is . . . overstated. ...
