To get back to the previous topic, does it seem possible to anyone that the supposed mark might be connected with some sort of buying club or something similar? I'm thinking along the lines of such an apparent good deal that one would have to think twice to turn it down. This would some future inter...

Good questions to ask oneself, twoedgedsword. I used to think that I wouldn't have feared being in that storm in that boat with Jesus, and that I would've sunk like Peter did in the water, and that I wouldn't have betrayed him or run away or cut off an ear. God has humbled me since then and shown m...

I believe that based on our ability to bind and release that we can claim a soul, ask God to give it special consideration in effect. I can't tell you if it is effective, I won't find out for a while yet , I hope.

What can an atheist say that would have any relevance to your faith? If you believe them you don't have faith, you just have an opinion.

In situations such as the above, a biblically supported impasse, the only thing you can fall back on is the great love for humanity that Jesus demonstrated and the grace He offered.

Re: To be humbled

Has anyone here ever been truely humbled. As well as love I consider being humbled to be a truely powerful emotion, sometimes overwhelming. I for one don't think I ever experience true humbling. I have been impressed and certainly awed to an extent - but not humbled. Can anyone here share an experi...

I don't really have a problem with him, I do think that there are a lot of people on the net like him and I wonder if that is a good thing.

MM when you get past the age of twenty you'll start to notice that not all explanations are complete, or true. And you could explain how JP's explanation isn't true. Preferably with specifics instead of smart comments. Did I say it wasn't true? I said it wasn't complete. In fact it isn't an explana...

Internet as new tower of Babel

Have any of you ever considered the possibility that the internet could be compared to the tower in genesis? I thought of this for some reason a week or so ago, there are similarities in that it is a collective human undertaking that is mostly secular in nature and its end results could be earthshak...

I would like an explanation of the real nature and meaning of the crucifixion. That is assuming that we can even understand it.

I have had a lot of experience with love and marriages, but I know I could not sum up the christian perspective of the issue as well as Kurieuo just did.

Summer, you should consider his advice carefully, he is right on the mark.

None of you appear to be considering that it may be God's will that contraception exists. It is predominantly used in the non christian population, perhaps it is part of a plan.

Kateliz, that is one of those interesting insights that make this journey worthwhile. I like the concept, it is a basic building block.
