My fren just gave me some good nuggets. The diff between Christianity & other religion is that other religion talks about me. How can I be bless How can I attain a better afterlife / be saved. What can my god do for me What must I do so that I'm in a safer hand. I take back the above underlined stat...

Thks Dale it does help, tho in all honesty, I'm not too sure I could fully accept it given the current experience, since audibility has different limit for different people. Well at least it can help me understand my gp of frens better. Pray tell if you've heard of or experience "miracles" like 1) H...

Just a short response to "the edge". The prayer tongue does not require interpretation and is not the companion gift to "the interpretation of tongues". This is a great source of misunderstanding with some! How does an "outsider" like myself discern the difference & not expect an interpretation?......

I frankly believe in prophecies and gifts, but I question I've ever truly witnessed a "real" case. Yet it seems foolish to me to totally rule out that such spiritual gifts still aren't given today. Kurieuo. One of my Christian friend reminded me of that too & for that I'm a bit more "open" than wha...

5. In my observations over 15 years, yes. 7. I do not remember ever hearing a public utterance of tongues that has failed to be interpreted. A person who speaks in tongues in this way should always be prepared to believe God for the interpretation. 8. Yes. They speak quietly to themselves and to Go...

I hate recommending Christian best sellers. Make it seem like it's better than the bible in the area of instruction. But I must really say that the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren is a great book. It helps organises the biblical teachings in a way that's cut right deep into the core & easy to u...

I share the same Q as u did & still do. I do know that a lot of people had come to Christ for the sake of that ticket to heaven. Like I said in another thread, there's a diff between calling Christ Saviour vs calling Him Lord. I'm sure that the latter are saved but I can't be sure about the former. ...

Perhaps another way to look at it....like as in a Father & Child relation... A parent would leave his inheritance to his child, born or adopted. He may give a great portion of it (or whole) to charity, but it's pretty unlikely that he will give it to someone whom he thinks behave better (or much) th...

Elleeise, the Christian view of salvation, makes it ok to do pretty much anything wrong on this planet as long as you ask for forgiveness...relying on a 2000 yrs old document with false statements, ...But is a perfect tool for mass manipulation of the weaker-minded, who will submit and worship thei...

Back to the original Q. They say that we were made FOR sex. What is your thought on this? What is the evidence against evolution? The evidence against evolution is in the first sentence. We were MADE. Then, you have to realize that the chances of two genders evolving randomly at the same time, so th...

Even in our human system of law....no matter how great a person is, once he committed an offense against the law of the land, a fair system would demand that he still be punish. Say in the case of a man who had in the past donated millions but had come to a later point in time where he committed fra...

Who/What is the perfect?

"All these shall pass away when the perfect is come"

Some refer the "perfect" to the completion of the bible, while others to the 2nd coming of Christ.

Which is correct?

Running from your calling or God himself can separate you from your fulfillment in life. Without peace, you're oppressed. Being oppressed holds you down to the weight of bondage. A dominoe affect that can lead into possession. Just want to clarify: Do u include in the above statement, Christian run...
