Re: What ever happened to Imperial?
I remember him. I remember wondering if he was actually one of my atheist friends since he had a number of similarities and spoke of his "Christian friend".

Re: Biblical Law I've Never Heard of
If you call yourself a Christian, why are you ignorant of what is in the Bible? A Christian who doesn't know the Bible is like a pilot who doesn't know how to fly an aircraft. FL  The bibles a big book, it wouldn't be very inclusive of God to only allow those with full knowledge of the bible...

Re: Biblical Law I've Never Heard of
I think it is commonly understood that the laws in Leviticus are not a measure of what is sin in today's society. The book of Leviticus was for the ancient levitical priests, after the name of the book means "for the Levites".

Re: Uncaused first cause
Complexity arises from simplicity, as evolutionary theory says. A trillion first causes sounds far too complicated for "the very beginning". Just because something sounds less complicated doesnt mean it is correct. Ken No but it seems logical. Why believe in something that seems totally i...

Re: Uncaused first cause
It seems likely. It doesn't really make much sense to have an endless chain going backwards of causes. At some point there probably has to be one which is eternal. Why only 1 first cause? Why not 2? or 10? or a thousand? or a trillion first causes? Ken Complexity arises from simplicity, as evolutio...

Re: Islam ?
I'm not talking about Christians, I'm talking about the Bible.
The old covenant was a long time ago. But the same God allegedly made both the old and new covenants.

Re: Islam ?
The ''Old Testament God'' seems similar to Allah? yes, but only to those with a superficial understanding of the Bible. That's a lot of people! Most people are not interested in faith and religions. They get their information on Christianity from the culture around them but never from the Source. M...

Re: Another evolutionary icon bites the dust
A theorized section of the evolutionary tree found to be inaccurate? That's 1 down, 50,000 to go! Theres also that pesky matter of evidence from DNA that needs to be dealt with. There's no source that I would expect to have more objective non-biased info on the matter than a source called "Crea...

Re: The Four Blood Moons
I'm glad I said it because it is the truth. In fact I'm going to say it more. And you should be ashamed of your silly rapture theory too. This doctrine is very hurtful to the Jewish people. Floating away on some cloud from your leather coach while the Jews face another holocaust? If that is what yo...

Re: Uncaused first cause
It seems likely. It doesn't really make much sense to have an endless chain going backwards of causes. At some point there probably has to be one which is eternal. At the very least, our universe definitely needed a cause since it has been shown to have had a beginning. For me, the only possible fir...

Re: The Four Blood Moons
On top of that my personal view of the rapture is that it is anti-Semitic in that the Christians get beamed or raptured out of the world while the Jews are left back on earth to suffer another holocaust for their sins. This to me is absolutely preposterous. Why would non-Christ-believing Jew...

If it could be shown that that is how it was made, and it was the authentic cloth of Jesus, that would definitely be something.

Re: Shroud of Turin
Someone had said earlier that if the Shroud is authentic, it, at best, merely leads to deism. If you're referring to me, I didn't say it would lead to Deism, I said if it was the authentic burial cloth of Jesus, it would only be evidence that Jesus was a living human who died. I probably said somew...

Re: Atheist response to big bang.
In my view, the evidence for God doesn't lie in biology and the "unlikelyhood that life could evolve on a planet in the goldilocks zone", but rather in cosmology and the "unlikelyhood that a universe would exist that can support matter let alone allow life to exist". I personally...
