Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

There a almost 2000 comments just under one youtube OSAS video (and I thought this thread was getting biblically long). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMpp6LTC4Qs What I'm getting from the refuters of OSAS (eternal security) is that they either (i) have an inherent fear of missing out on being save...

Re: God- Chess Master

I have read similar analogies that describe what you have mentioned (which, IMHO, applies more so for those under grace). Part of me hopes/knows that to be correct. For example, I know god wants me to do certain things but I ain't budging . I call my disease "residual old-life syndrome" . Can God br...

Re: Healing, Karma and The Christ Logos

Sometimes illness in a result of sin and sometimes it isn't. It is clear that the blind man wasn't suffering for his sins but chapter 5 of John tells of Jesus healing a paralyzed man and one thing Jesus said to him indicates that his paralysis might have been caused by sin. Afterward Jesus found hi...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

jpbg, maybe this old story is relevant....... "The devil and a friend of his were walking down the street, when they saw ahead of them a man stoop down and pick up something from the ground, look at it, and put it away in his pocket. The friend said to the devil, 'What did that man pick up?' 'He pic...

Well put Kurieuo. If you ever write a book, you could use that last post as an intro :-)

Re: Healing, Karma and The Christ Logos

I know what you are trying to say Kurieuo. I need to study this stuff a bit more. eg. Do people actually get sick due to their transgressions and/or family's past sins? We should note that we get people today who get sick and get healed all the time without praying. calling on God etc.. Who actually...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

This reminds me of the time my mum once blurted out......... "Don't eat meat or you are all going to hell !"

I don't know where in the scripture she got that from but, of course, I grew up a little worried about all the meat I was eating.

Now we have.......

Hmm. I've always wondered about John 9. Maybe I've over complicated things. It reads like 'He did not sow what he reaped' ? God can do what he likes I guess.

Re: Healing, Karma and The Christ Logos

ok. Daskalos also mentioned somewhere that most of the people he assisted in healing had their karma exhausted and that they would have eventually healed regardless of whether he helped them or not. Now, lets look at John 9: “As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him...

Healing, Karma and The Christ Logos

FYI: The following might explain why some healings can take a long time.....(NB. karma = 'what you sow is what you reap') ‘All illnesses are due to Karma,’ Daskalos replied. ‘It is either the result of your own debts or the debts of others you love.’ ‘I can understand paying for one’s own Karma but ...

Re: *GRACE*

There are some relevant quotes here :-) Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace Exodus 33:19 And He said, "I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you;...

add this one too..

Romans 11:5-6

"In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God's gracious choice. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace."

BigHamster, why are you not using your old account? I changed the email address on my old godandscience account (which was a wrong email address). Subsequently, the account was rendered inactive until I verified it. Since I couldn't access the new email account and verifiy the new email address, th...
