Reach the Deaf
The hymn “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing” contains this verse: Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb, Your loosened tongues employ; Ye blind, behold your Savior come, And leap, ye lame, for joy. Charles Wesley, the author of the hymn, may have had this passage in the Bible in mind when he wrote i...

Re: Sight or Sound?
If I had a choice I would definitely rather lost my hearing. Part of the reason is that my hearing isn't very good now. It is useless for me to watch a tv program or a dvd that isn't closed captioned because I wouldn't be able to understand what is going on in it. To lose my hearing completely would...

Re: False Catholic Mary doctrine
It seems PetriFB has posted around 15 or so, hit-and-run posts in the last 3 years. Anyone responding here shouldn't expect a response back from him. It seems he's just posting with links to his blog. This forum isn't the only place he is doing this. He has made identical posts of two other forums ...

Prayer for Christian bloggers
I found this prayer for Christian bloggers on a blog I follow. "Father, I have no way of knowing who will read the things I write today but you do. Guide my thoughts and fingers, and speak to that person through me. Make me an instrument of your will." This is an excellent prayer not only ...

Re: Ark encounter
I still can not understand how can one go crazy like that. Earth being at most 10 000 years old despite ooooooooverwhelming evidence which point to the contrary? The "evidence" that the earth is old is based on the assumption that there was no worldwide flood. Fossils are formed when livi...

Ark encounter
As many of you know, the organization Answers in Genesis is building a full size replica of Noah’s ark. The ark is almost completed and is scheduled to be open to visitors on July 7. You can learn the details at https://arkencounter.com/. Most people don’t believe a worldwide flood occurred. In his ...

The holiness of God
Isaiah had a vision in which he saw the Seraphim praising God for his holiness. In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and...

Re: Both neanderthals and humans mated with each other. What does your creation interpretation say?
The fact that Neanderthals and modern humans can mate shows that we are both descendants of Adam and Eve. The belief that they mated 100,000 years ago is obviously wrong since the creation took place much later than that. Here is a link to some information on the subject of Neanderthals from Answers...

Re: Please keep me in your prayers
I will pray that God will help you with your depression and your relationships with your co workers. And plus where I'm in my 30s and not married and still a virgin with no one interested in me, I've been dealing with all the pain and negativity with that all month. Being unmarried isn't necessarily...

Re: Christians against Aliens, why so common?
A lot of YECs believe there are no aliens because they also believe in YUC (Young Universe Creationism) because they misunderstand what God did on the fourth day of creation. And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for sign...

Children Seized from Christian Family by Norwgian Government
Child welfare services in Norway have seized five children from a Christian couple on charges including “Christian radicalization and indoctrination,” according to a British-based religious rights advocate group. The children of Ruth and Marius Bodnariu were taken by Norway’s child welfare services...

Re: New Vatican document asserts Catholics should not evangelize Jews
However, individual Roman Catholics may evangelize Jews by proxy, by donating time or money to Jewish evangelism. However, the actual face-to-face evangelism is best done by Messianic Jews, period. Messianic Jews are the ones best qualified for face-to-face evangelism but not every Jew has the oppo...

Re: Christians against Aliens, why so common?
I also feel that with the popular anti alien sentiment amongst Christianity will in fact turn christians and would be christians away when aliens are discovered. Why to you use the word "when"? Wouldn't it be more accurate to use the word "if"? I believe we are near the time whe...

Re: Jesus in Marvel comics, what do you think?
Read what Jesus says. "Johnny Blaze's soul is beyond you, Satan. He has earned his second chance." This is not the gospel. Satan is using Marvel Comics to spread his lies.

Re: New Vatican document asserts Catholics should not evangelize Jews
The headline of the articles says, "Vatican says Catholics should not try to convert Jews, should fight anti-semitism." Failure to share the gospel with Jews is the worst kind of anti-semitism there is. The apostle Paul was called specifically to carry the gospel to the Gentiles and yet ev...
