Re: Raising the dead

Many people think that there is some kind of physical resurrection at the resurrection. There is not. Corinthians completely explains the spiritual body that we will have. Scripturaly we also will not have to wait for anything. If the human time frame perceives a wait, let me ask you; What does a d...

Neither do I. Jesus and God the Son are the same Person. So if you baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, you imply that you're baptizing in Jesus' name.

Here are some ancient quotations to support the Catholic dogma about purgatory.

Re: Establishment Clause

I think the clause forbids the U.S. Government to adopt a religion. For example, it seems to prevent the U.S. from being a Catholic country. But maybe any state can adopt one.

Everyone, For me, this article proves that every country should outlaw abortion. In Australia, some philosophers are arguing that mothers should be free to kill their babies after birth. http://www.news.com.au/national/abortion-outrage-mums-should-be-allowed-to-terminate-newborns-say-australian-acad...

Re: RCC/Protestant Divisions

The Catholic Encyclopedia article is hard to read. But I can defend the Catholic Church's dogma about infallibility if the defense will help some people understand. Since we're not going to debate infallibility, I'll let you guys decide whether I'll argue for that dogma.

Killing for human organs

Hi Everybody,

In the discussion about donating bodies to science, I explained why I believe that it's immoral to harvest vital organs from living. So here's an article about a similar topic (http://dailycaller.com/2012/02/10/the-k ... s-pushers/).

Re: Donating Bodies to Science

Excuse me for saying so, but any doctor that would not save a woman's life by providing an abortion is the murderer of that woman, straight up. Your analogy is ridiculous. Your situation implies no chance to save your mother, first of all. Secondly, I think that in a case where you have to choose b...

Re: Donating Bodies to Science

If a fetus is already brain dead, I don't think it's technically an abortion, Dan. It's essentially an induced stillbirth (that sounds like you killed it, but I just mean you are removing a dead child from the womb). But some supposedly brain dead people have revived, which may be why the doctor in...

Re: Donating Bodies to Science

My understanding of abortions is that the human foetus is a viable human life and if left alone it will grow into a human being. There is a big difference between a viable life and a life that is not viable in the case of a patient that is in a state of non-recovery and will hence remain until the ...

Re: Donating Bodies to Science

While the body may be alive there is obviously no life in that body, it is just a shell and if that shell can help someone else I am all for it. The person is the spirit/soul not the shell it inhabits while it is on this Earth, once that spirit/soul has left the body then it becomes nothing but mat...

Re: Catholics and salvation

People don't tell me what St. James means by "dead" when they remind me that faith without works is dead. If my faith is dead, maybe it can't help me go to heaven. We Catholics know that we don't earn heaven. But we believe that Our Lord requires us to do good works with His help. Since Christ does ...

Re: Donating Bodies to Science

If there is no chance for survival, if they unplug a machine then your dead what life is really in that body? Dan. sometimes it's all right to let a patient die naturally when no one can do anything for him, when his there's no hope for him. I don't see anything wrong with unplugging life support w...

What did the cells form a new organism or only a clump? Bacteria form colonie...

I am a conservative, but in all honesty, i believe that man is not sane For what it's, my David friend thought Beck was sane and sincere when he appeared on Beck's TV program to promote his, David's, book about Calvin Coolidge. I agree often with Beck. But I'm a paleoconservative, and I thin he's a...
