It didn't help. He said he grew up Catholic. I gave up.

A charge against the Trinity
I'm discussing Christianity with someone who said: "Three separate persons as One God is an anthropomorphic polytheistic concept. Jesus Christ is depicted as a distinct separate Deity. Actually very similar to Hindu beliefs that the different Gods are aspects of the one Brahman." I don't have the ba...

Praying to Jesus?
Jesus told His disciples to pray to the Father.
In the Gospel of John Jesus said if you pray in His name He would do it, which means Jesus can hear and answer prayers.
Stephen prayed to Jesus in Acts 7.
So, is it OK to pray to Jesus or not?
Thanks.

Re: What do you all think of this guy?
Christian2, sorry I didn't know you are a believer - I would have if I'd looked at your older posts. But sometimes when a poster asks many questions and I see their profile lacks a description of their belief, I'll just ask the question. It's hard to remember every poster's history. Not a problem. :)

Re: What do you all think of this guy?
Christian 2 - you ask a lot of question about what others think about this or that related to Christianity. I see your profile shows no indication of what you believe, faith-wise. Are you a follower of Christ? Yes, I am a follower of Christ; my nickname should tell you that. It is worth noting that...

Re: An earlier date for the Gospel of John
Both Revelation and the Gospel of John have arguments for their dating that include arguments from silence concerning key events that would seem inconceivable to have been left out. The horrific persecutions by Nero, the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. The author of John identifies himself as a...
