Re: Pagan Mythology

I am currently reading the Epic of Gilgamesh, and enjoying it. Is it wrong for believers to enjoy Pagan mythology? My argument for it not being wrong is that the writers of the Bible, particularly the Old Testament (Tanakh to me) would use imagery from Pagan mythology to make theological points. Is...

Re: Billy Graham

Clay, do you expect Billy G to be a perfect person - that he never made mistakes? And he admitted to many mistakes. People love to cherrypick mistakes over the course of a person's entire life and career, who have endured 24/7 media for many years. I doubt you or I would be proud of ever such momen...

Re: Pagan Mythology

What we have in the Judaic - Christian tradition is actual fulfilled prophecy as recorded in the text of the bible as well as an ancient people who remain intact to this day in the very land called Israel called by their ancient name. Mesopotamia paganism does not. Also, it is Canaanite religious sy...

Re: Dr. Michael Heiser

I was just using Revelation 22 to back up my point. Also I think you are technically correct about the KJV bible but I don't want to get side tracked from my original point. You see the KJV bible is an old earth translation in both the old and new testaments, and so why are all new translations young...

Re: Are violent video games sinful?

I think we can safely say Jesus would probably not play Grand Theft Auto. But are violent (15-18) video games always sinful? I would argue depictions violence are not in themselves sinful, otherwise the Bible would have to be forbidden. I also don't see anything too objectionable in games like Skyr...

Re: Exorcism!

I'm merely noting a huge contradiction of Catholic teachings vs. what Scripture says about exorcism - and that the Catholic Church mumbo-jumbo ritual is a bunch of nonsense. All it does is further belief in the unnecessary need and supposed powers for priests specializing in exorcisms and their rel...

Re: Is world gone crazy?

Targeting a lawyer's office is very troubling. Yep - major double standards of a silent press over Bubba's sexual abuse aided by his Rottweiler wife. But Trump has been no saint. If his Stormy past catches up with him, it'll have been his own fault. But the left only cares about any tactics which w...
