Re: Real reason

Slavery most definitely played a big part in it. Another part of the secession from the U.S. was disagreement over how the government should be. By then, America had adopted a strong central government, meaning that one government body would be the main branch that held responsibility over all of th...

Re: Your thoughts on this question?

Where does it say they didn't know right from wrong? They obviously knew right and wrong as it related to the Tree of good and evil, because God had revealed it to them. It doesn't mean they could comprehend the repercussions of having their eye's opened. Obviously Even knew right from wrong regard...

Re: World becoming increasingly atheist

Taking the OP title in point - Has anyone also noticed that it is currently the New Athiest books that are currrently topping the best sellers lists - titles such as "God Delusion", "Grand Design", "God is not Great" etc.. I have to ask the question - why are people so...

Your thoughts on this question?

I'm hoping this is the right place. If not, please correct me. Anyways, as I mentioned before, I'm a member of this "self-exploration" forum called SoulPancake. The website is filled with atheists who feel the need to try and debunk the beliefs of Christians on the website. Well, one of th...

The Faithful Man and God

I heard this joke on Joel Osteen once. I found it funny and thought I'd share it with you. This joke may not be exact since it's been a while. A man was shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean. "God, save me." He cried. Then, a large cruise ship came along. The captain threw a life-saving r...

Re: There is no science...

I'd just like to say that number 3, artificial life, has already sort of been achieved. Computers aren't completely like humans, but they are able to mock human life. But this would actually further prove the existence of a creator. Because, like Byblos said, they still need a programmer.

Thanks guys for the links. They're very helpful. And yes, I agree now that it's difficult to determine biased and unbiased sources.

Learn more about evolution

Where could I go to learn to about evolution? Wikipedia is a horrible resource because it's user-generated. A lot of the websites that I find are pro-evolution, anti-Christian in tone and do not do a good job of explaining. I think that the best way to counter an argument is to know your argument. S...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hi, all. I'm a 20 year old college student at Mississippi State University. I major in Computer Science because I'm a nerd. (:p) I came here today looking to better understand what I believe about the Bible and things that I don't believe in such as evolution, etc. I hang out on another website call...
