Re: Nephilim -Mark 12:25

I agree that the Prince of Persia in Daniel is referring to an angelic being, but not a "son of God" because the Prince of Persia appears to be a fallen angel . I agree that the being called the Prince of Persia was a fallen angel ( rebelling against God's messenger Gabriel) BUT that he is referred...

Re: Nephilim -Mark 12:25

Moses wrote Deuteronomy after the children of Israel came out of Egypt right before he died. So the dividing of the nations in Genesis 10 according to the seventy sons of Noah and the seventy children of Jacob/Israel going into Egypt (Exodus 1:1-5) were both history when Moses wrote Deuteronomy. Th...

Re: Nephilim -Mark 12:25

Deut 32:8, When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, When He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel. NKJV There is a problem with this verse. This refers to the Tower of Babel incident and there was NO Is...

Re: What is His name?

The confusion at times comes from the view that belief in Christ is all that is need for salvation and this is true BUT the word belief doesn't just mean believe that He exists or what not ( Even the demons believe), but also means TRUST and to put FAITH IN Christ. I hate using the term "true Christ...

Re: What is His name?

It was verses like this, OT salvation verses about God, that were applied to Jesus that allowed Christian to understand that Jesus IS God. The confusion at times was because some people did ( and still do) think of God as a name or His Name as opposed to a "title". The first step in understanding th...

Re: Nephilim -Mark 12:25

One would think that with the intranet webz nowadays, it would be fairly easy to find a list of the times that angels appeared in human form, in scripture. I just can't find any such list. My question is if anyone can show anywhere in scripture that an angel appears in human form, other than a time...

Re: Was Jesus Resurrection actually on a Sunday?

It's a silly question that had ZERO to do with what I posted. Murder was always a sin, even before ANY law was written. As Paul noted, even the pagans that did not know the Law, had the law in their hearts. Well, again, from your wording above it would SEEM one could conclude you believe Murder to ...

Re: Was Jesus Resurrection actually on a Sunday?

The law put into context, into words, into order, what sin is. People, even without the law, knew good and evil. The Law was simply the next "evolution" of that understanding, just like Christ was the next "evolution" of the law. So is murder no longer sin? . . Was it ever? Silly questions and all ...

Re: Cain, Noah and Agriculture

Hello everyone, I used to read this website all the time when I was in highschool and am very happy to have found it once again. I was recently reading Genesis and struggling to understand something. In these two passages the problem lies: Genesis 4:2 Later she [Eve] gave birth to another son, Abel...

Re: Was Jesus Resurrection actually on a Sunday?

The Gospel explicitly state that they went to the tomb on the first day of the week, the day we call Sunday. That means they went on the first day of the week, period. Lets not forget that we are talking about Hellenistic Jews writing to a Hellenistic Jews and gentiles. They would have used the dat...

Re: Was Jesus Resurrection actually on a Sunday?

If we take the scripture ONLY and only what is explicitly stated then the one thing we do know is that Mary and the others went on the first day of the week ( Sunday), period.
That is not contestable.
