Re: What did Jesus mean with the following statement?

You may be missing the point of the verse. Yeah I am, please explain it. See DB's post above. In short, you focused on the Tree instead of the forest. A word instead of the reason behind what was being said. For His ( Jesus') audience, that word meant something that for us is, largely, not relevant...

Re: Abortion Debate

Considering that the father is responsible for the pregnancy in the eyes of the law, you would think he also has some say, right?

But is it Hate ??

Sometimes things are said that make people uncomfortable or even upset, but are those things hateful? Edward Fesser has an excellent post on this: http://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2019/07/speaking-what-you-take-to-be-hard.html#more Excerpt: Once again, the rationality or irrationality of the beliefs ...

Re: Abortion Debate

What it seem sis being said here, basically, is the right to choose trumps the right to live. Someone's right to choose supersedes something's right to live. So the question is, is there are right to live? Does a baby have a right to live and if yes, why and if NO, why. Now, there is a can of worms....

Re: AOC's Question on Inflation - Is She Correct?

Paul: Yes, and no.The economy in the US is very different today than 20 years ago, much less 50 years ago. Yes, basic inflation still kind of works the same way, but that is only part of the picture. But the evidence seems far from clear cut - AND if things are very different, then why are we employ...

Re: Quoting the Bible in Australia now 'Hate Speech?'

Time to give the "devil his due".
Do unto others and all that.

Time for Christians to start viewing anti-christian views and sayings as hate speech too.

Re: The Bible's Oldest Existing Manuscripts

In regards to ancient writings, the bible has some of the oldest manuscripts in existence and, in relation to when the originals were actually written, the earliest copies we have far closer than any other ancient writing. Example is that the fragment from the Gospel of John we have is less than 50 ...

Sad, very sad and self-defeating of course.
It's just that "progressives" are to myopic to see it, just as they were too myopic to see the transgender issues.

Re: Many Atheists DO Believe in the Supernatural

Ken, You are being intellectually lazy. There is no evidence that leads us to believe that material things are unchangeable, unmovable and eternal and there is abundant evidence AND facts that tell us otherwise. There is no evidence that leads us to believe that the spiritual world even exists; let...
