Re: Why did God use the Bible?
Hi everyone! I've recently been wondering about salvation and have thought of a question that I can't seem to brush off: Why did God use the Bible to convey His message of salvation? It is extremely important that mankind receive God's message of salvation so that they may be able to avoid spending...

Re: Animal Wildlife encounters
My family and I live right by Grand Teton National Park, so we've seen a lot of wildlife. We've never encountered a bear or a mountain lion while walking on a trail, though (thankfully!). My dad always gets really nervous about running into bears while hiking. One time, he and my mom were hiking up ...

Re: Olympic weirdness
I believe some of the hymns sang by the children's choirs at the start were giving glory to God. I didn't have a problem with the Voldemort thing. He's a famous children's bad guy of British origin and fit the theme. I didn't really think they honored him or honored evil or something. I mean, he go...

This looks like it's gonna be pretty good..I just hope Zack Snyder doesn't add too much unnecessary slow-mo.

Re: Social Anxiety!
Well, I finally turned in my application! It didn't go as badly as I had imagined, though I was extremely nervous..I understand it's a pretty normal thing to be nervous for something like a job interview, but it seems that all of my friends can handle themselves in social situations far better than ...

Social Anxiety!
I'm now convinced I have some form of social anxiety. A couple of days ago, I went to get a job application and my heart rate practically doubled when I asked for one. Now, I'm struggling to actually fill it out and turn it back in  . I also wonder if I'd actually be able to DO the job, consi...

Re: Pray for me, you and all believers for "last days" coura
I'll be praying for you and our fellow believers, but try not to worry about this too much. I'm a fearful person myself, and I have trouble sleeping because I think about things like this too much! It's definitely a scary thing to think about, but I have faith that if something like this were to hap...

Eczema
Well, I've had what I believe is eczema for about 6 months now. I went to the doctor's office twice and it wasn't very successful. He prescribed me with a couple of different steroid creams that helped only a little and slowly became useless. I then went to a naturopathic doctor about 2 weeks ago. S...

Re: Planet that can hold life found and confirmed
It does pose a problem for Christianity - unless of course they also have a revelation of Christ and are saved by him - Was Jesus crucified on all planets? Discovery of alien intelligent life would be a body blow for our faith unless this is the case. And about them not falling - that is impossible...

Re: Planet that can hold life found and confirmed
Yeah, if you have the verse that says that the Bible only allows for life on this planet, I think we'd all like to see it. I think this is the verse that's used to "prove" that ET life is un-biblical: Isaiah 45:18 ...Yeah, I don't really understand how that verse proves that other habitab...
