Re: New atheist deconversion videos...

I use to believe in god. Doubts started to pop up in college in my humanities class when learning about the beginning of Christianity. The blatant corruption of the Catholic Church and the self serving way the bible was created. Then discovering things that people assuming the bible was saying was ...

Re: You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it

There are just too many people who are really in need, good Christians, Christians who have sincere faith who ask for essentials, food, shelter, clothing, etc., who do not receive what they need. I understand what you're saying. However, you have to see it from this point of view too: We ask for es...

Re: Matthew 28:19 (?)

Alright, well, thank you for both of your answers.

This isn't a big issue to me, but I just wanted this to be cleared up a little bit, and see other perspectives on this.

Thank you and God Bless!

God's voice?

I was just in a converstation with my friend last, night, who's an agnostic, and he brought up something I said to him. I said that you can hear God in a still-small voice inside of you, that you feel is from your heart... ...but he said it doesn't sound real. After that I couldn't really explain it...

Jesus had a God?

1 Peter 1:3, 1 Corinthians 1:3, and Ephesians 1:3 and Ephesians 1:17 All talk about Jesus having a God...? How could Jesus have a God...if he is God? (Note: It doesn't say "His Father, God" , you can look it up. It says His God) I'm just really confused by this...it's weird, because I know Jesus is ...

Matthew 28:19 (?)

Hey, just felt like bringing this up. Many people have said that Matthew 28:19 originally made no mention of the "Father, Son and Holy Spirit," but that it was just added in. Is this true? It doesn't really matter a whole lot to me, because there are other references to the Trinity in the Bible anyw...

Re: John 7:8-10 Did Jesus lie?

Oh yeah, I've looked at that one, and a few other places. The "issue" isn't really bothering me much...because I don't think John would put this in there, "Knowing" Jesus was lying. The only thing that bothers me is the "However" (or "But" in the NASB) at the beginning of verse 10, which makes it go...

John 7:8-10 Did Jesus lie?

In John 8, Jesus says that he would not go up to the feast, yet in verse 10 it says that he went in secret.

Was Jesus lying when he told them he wouldn't go? Because it says that he did indeed go after saying this.

Re: Questions about Molinism, Calvinism, and Arenianism...

I'll say for me, I'm undecided...maybe not a TULIP, but more like a TUIP (I think that's right)? (Calvinist) The problem I have is that we generally look at knowledge and say "Wel, just because you know something is going to happen doesn't mean that there can't be free will." The problem I have is t...

"Coincidences..."

What are some weird, strange "coincidences (*ahem* not really *ahem*)" that you've had recently, or in the past? Off the top of my head, I can think of a few. One happened last night, and I'm not to happy about what I did for it to happen, but here it is. I was just acting rude towards my ma', not r...

Re: A Funny Thing Happened At Church

Haha, oh man that's funny!

I mean, probably kind of embarrasing...but funny. I've had that happen in school, where I would say "Why does Mr so and so have to give us so much homework?" Then they'd happen to be right behind me.

Re: Do Atheists enjoy....

Yeah, I think they enjoy getting the presents and all that. Sadly, it seems, many "Christians" have turned to this as well. One tiny (well, not really) little nitpick I have is that no one seems to get the story of the Birth of Jesus right, or at least the Nativity scenes don't. I'm not saying every...

Re: May 21, 2011

Some people have asked me "Does God have a sense of humor?"

Well, I'm sure he laughs at this kind of nonsense, so he has to!

On May 22, 2011...I won't even remember that someone predicted Jesus would come back the day before. That's my prophecy.

Well, I mean, I can tell you why if you need me to.

Re: Worshiping God and being male

As far as I know, God doesn't have a gender (sex). He's called the Father so that we can identify with Him, as part as His perfect plan. We see the Word came to earth in Jesus Christ, a human and God, a man. I think once you really get used to praying and saying you love Him, you get used to it.., i...
