Re: A response to this website

Aimforthehead, the point that I can see here through all of this is that you need to think about things like logic, love, hate, how human thought originates, mathematic truths, etc. You need to reconcile those things to your worldview. How does your worldview explain those things? You don't need to...

Re: A response to this website

I tried my best to reply to all requests. I did get to yours on logic...you don't have to lie about me not responding, you could have just said you didn't like the answer I gave. I'm afraid I don't have a better one, it is the basis of how we think. If you don't like it, don't use it. We'll argue us...

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness

By the way for all you "be scientific" ranting, what exactly are your qualifications in science? I'm a student majoring in Computer science. Also it is illogical to think that other peoples beliefs are illogical because it doesn't make sense to you. I actually find them to be a bit simple...

Re: A response to this website

Have you never read that Aristotle theory of gravitation was being taught for almost 1600 years until Galileo challenged it and proved wrong. Because theory is in the title of something it does not make it a scientific theory. We have since then raised our expectations quite a bit. It's a little ha...

Re: A response to this website

The universe is the prime example, as I already stated. Please explain how the universe came to be, using only natural phenomenon in your reasoning. That is an illogical question. It is inherently flawed. (Prior to the big bang, that is.) Oh my gosh. I am astounded. All he asks is for you to explai...

Re: A response to this website

Wrong again. You assume time is a necessary component for cause and effect. A cause does not need to occur temporally before an effect, or there would be no universe. As you say, science has us thinking now that time came about with matter. If this is the case, there still must be a cause. The natu...

Re: A response to this website

Wrong. If by definition, the natural cannot create itself, than if it has a beginning at all, the beginning must be beyond the natural. It is the ONLY explanation. I understand your point, but it is illogical. It also leads to paradoxes. The issue is, the question "what happened before the big...

Re: A response to this website

Illogical conclusion. Refer to "God of gaps" Because we do not know something, it is not logical to "insert supernatural cause here". As well, including the supernatural on the assumption that the natural cannot occur on its own, does not solve the equation, only further complica...

Answer THOSE questions.
They are invalid questions...=/ I've explained myself already. I don't care to get in an infinite loop of misunderstanding. So I'll go ahead and let you have the last word, make it meaningful.

Re: A response to this website

KravMagaSelfDefense, we do not prove logic or math using science, in fact almost the opposite (almost), we use science on the basis that logic and math are valid (depending on your field of science, I find chemistry and physics to be heavily intertwined with mathematics). They stand on their own bec...

Re: A response to this website

the issues you are bringing here are ones that come here daily. I have my doubts... But theory is not proven scientific fact. You claim you've gotten into this argument before, but I'm wondering how you still don't know what a theory is then... A theory is a collection of data (facts) that explains...

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness

Sorry if I'm being rude, I'm much more patient in an actual conversation. But everywhere I go, religious people all say the same things...it's discouraging to realize people will flat out deny evidence to support their own beliefs. Not just people, but well over half of the planet. It's reasonable t...
