To be humbled

Has anyone here ever been truely humbled. As well as love I consider being humbled to be a truely powerful emotion, sometimes overwhelming. I for one don't think I ever experience true humbling. I have been impressed and certainly awed to an extent - but not humbled. Can anyone here share an experie...

Actually - that is probably my fault - I didn't make it very clear. I meant what "Question" would you ask?

God Bless

Re: Sex is for procreation only

I think it a rather cold view of God that He only intended sex for procreation. Kurieuo. Not really...Why does it have to have more than one function? It's obvious what the intended purpose of sex is for. You can't agree that contraception is ok? It perverts the natural function of sex! Have...

Face to face with God.

This was an interesting question I read on another Christian Website. Imagine this scenario: You woke up one day and walked out the door of your bedroom and found yourself in a room that was obviously not part of your house. All that is in this room is a throne with God sitting on it. You know it is...

The Burden of Proof.

I was just thinking yesterday how when it comes to athiests asking for absolute proof for God existence before they believe - I for one think we never will find that absolute proof because God will never allow it. I was thinking about what our relationship with God would be like if we had absolute p...

Think of this earth like a training ground if you were - to prepare us for our life in heaven. The free will factor is a key here. God does not want robots to love him in heaven - he wants love given freely - which is the most powerful love of all - because it is true and sincere. On earth we choose...

I have just finished my last marriage preperation session with my minister and I was amazed by how much was actually in the Bible to help you get through a marriage. One of the words that stuck with me was the Agape (Sp?) love that Jesus offers. The one where we have to will ourselfs to love someone...

I agree as well

Athiestic science goes on even further to suggest that our consciousness (sp?) is only an emmergent property of the complexity of our brain and doesn't really need to be there in the first place. We were just lucky in that respect I guess.

I don't know, but I will say this: it is not Judas' betrayal of Jesus that would cause him to go to hell, but rather his refusal to accept Jesus as saviour. Each of us has betrayed God, so Judas' sin is no more unforgiveable than any of ours. Now, whether he accepted God's grace is a whole other qu...

Hardwired for God.

I just read this comment on the ex-athiest website and it struck me as very interesting. It seems to be the case that every human being has this inbuilt genetic factor that makes them search for God. Some find him - and some overcome that factor and become athiest - but it is all there to start off ...
