Re: Adam’s rib

I was not speaking of Moses. I never knew he believed in pre-adamites. As a matter of fact, I belive The Original Hebrew Israelites were Black. I was referring to the pre-adamism doctrine popularized by Europeans in recent centuries, the bullcorn that says only whites come from Adam, i.e. the so-ca...

Re: Adam’s rib

Also, DB, I think you should take all of the mentions in Scripture that MIGHT tie Adam and Eve to all mankind - like the naming of Eve noted Genesis 3:20: "The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living ." As this statement would SEEM to mean that Eve was the mother of...

Re: I never knew you...

Replace non-believers with false-believers and I believe this is more accurate. I don't see a distinction. A believer is one who believes in/trusts Christ for salvation. Non-believers/false believers don't believe in/trust Christ for salvation. The main difference is that false believers may be pro...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

we can live 120 years :) Not really. Only about 1% of the population even makes it to 100. Women's life expectancy is about 81.1 years, and men's is about 78.74 years old. The oldest person to ever live was 122 years old, which is very rare. Genesis 6:3 ESV Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not ...

Re: Adam’s rib

I reject the concept of "pre-Adamites". It was cooked up to defend all sorts of racism.
With that logic, you might as well reject the Bible, because the Bible has been used to defend racism and the belief that women aren't equal to men. And the Bible has even been used to justify antisemitism.

Re: Justices side with Colorado baker on same-sex wedding cake

K,

If I'm reading you correctly, you're saying that you'd rather a company be able to refuse service to someone who is black for example, because they are black, without the govt. interfering?

Perhaps the social outcry against the company would be enough to keep companies from this kind of behavior?

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

So then God "gave" Satan this world or let Satan "borrow it"? For what purpose would God do this? It doesn't help your psychology to view the devil as the ruler of this world. When I go sailing or look out over the ocean or an in the forest or mountains I'm not seeing the work of the "devil" am I? ...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

Blessed wrote: Why do certain Christians say the devil is the ruler of this world when God made this world? Because that's what the Bible says, in John 14:30. Edit: Are there any scriptures to support this misconception? Since John 14:30 says, almost word for word what you call a "misconception", d...

Re: Richard Dawkins says...

Like I told BW (BavarianWheels) rather than going back and fourth over the definition of words, I would rather respond in the context of how the person I am responding to defines the term. The way Claysmiter described the term, it doesn’t describe me. Of course it does. He said: claysmithr wrote: ↑...
