Re: Adam’s rib

Clearly, if there were pre-Adamites, they would not have been mere non-human hominids. Again, I believe very strongly that there are two very important revelations of testimony from God - that of Scripture and that of the Creation itself (and it's study that brings knowledge per it's testimony). And...

Re: Be Fruitful and Multiply

Rick: My wife comes from a catholic family. She's the youngest of 6. And her dad had 10 siblings. Catholic birth control of the past: Have so many hungry kids at the table that, when supper's meager portions are finally served, occasionally one of the smaller ones gets eaten in the ensuing feeding ...

Re: Be Fruitful and Multiply

Anyway, looks like white people haven't been doing their contribution - maybe God's allotted time for palefaces is about done?

Re: Be Fruitful and Multiply

What if your swimmers can't get the job done? Anyway, I've done my contribution to world population - two is aplenty. But there's a guy at church who is probably about 40 - he and his wife have produced five kids. I don't know of anyone else my age or younger who has more than three - DO YOU GUYS kn...

Philip: And before I forget on this topic, there's Acts 17:26 "And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth..." y:-? That seems to assert from one man came all the nations "to live on the face of the earth..." - ALL nations that have ever existed everywhere ...

Re: Adam’s rib

God has always had values as to what He considers right and wrong. And if beings of free will, surely any pre-Adamites had the ability to choose things or actions God has always deemed as being wrong - which is what sin is.

Re: Adam’s rib

Stu, God never causes sin - meaning He can only create humans with the capacity to choose to sin or not be capable of it. And so these supposed pre-Adamic men would also have had free will.

Re: Adam’s rib

DB: I think Genesis 3:20 is indicating that Adam and Eve were the first people to be spiritually 'alive'. There are a number of people on this planet who are physically alive but are not spiritually alive. And as the first people who were spiritually alive through relationship with God, everyone el...

Re: Adam’s rib

Also, DB, I think you should take all of the mentions in Scripture that MIGHT tie Adam and Eve to all mankind - like the naming of Eve noted Genesis 3:20: "The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living ." As this statement would SEEM to mean that Eve was the mother of ...

Re: Asking God to reveal himself?

K: I like Hana's chosen words above: "God does not refuse anyone who long for Him." It is something very inward within a person. Sure an intellectual in-the-head pursuit can be had, but whether or not we truly are honestly pursuing such (and our hearts often deceive even ourselves), an intellectual...

Re: Asking God to reveal himself?

Philip wrote the following in another thread. I comment it now: Nils, don't know if I've asked you before - but have you ever attempted asking God to reveal Himself to you? Because if the God of the Bible exists, it's clear He wants you to know about Him. No amount of philosophical investigation, p...
