Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hello All! My "handle is RockyMidnight", the names to two pets of mine who showed me living proof of the Grace of God I'm hoping there is a topic here that, in a layman level of discussion, explores reality from both scripture and what is obvious about this physical world, especially based on thing...

Re: RickD

Rick: gave you a picture with two other well known people. And you still needed two guesses! Those guys - particularly Dr. Demento - are not nearly as well known as the actress - as she is a very well known television actress from the 1960s, from a very famous show - that has been in re-runs foreve...

Re: Survival of the Fittest

Bav: but we aren't sure how things were prior to sin, so I'm willing to allege that animals eating animals isn't necessarily his plan. When people use the words "God's plan" - what do they mean? Because God doesn't plan like a MAN does - as God's plan is merely a gradual unfolding of ALL history He...

Re: Pope: GOD made people gay

BTW, I'm pretty sure Ed knows most Christians view marriage from a Godly / Biblical perspective. But his is a political argument. And while we can counter with a spiritual / Biblical one that he and many others won't agree with - again, we're not living in a theocracy. We have every right to vote th...

Re: Pope: GOD made people gay

Ed: I know the difference between a civil union and a church marriage, but "marriage" is generally used interchangeably in that discussion as well. Not by Bible-believing / understanding Christians it's not! Here's my take on it politically: We do not live in a theocracy, we live in a (very flawed)...

Re: Survival of the Fittest

Bav: I'm simply saying that God does not delight from bloodshed, though I'm sure He delights that there exists a manner in which He is lawfully able to reconcile with His created beings otherwise lost. God "does not delight" - really, what does that mean? He certainly doesn't see it as a bad or sin...

Re: Survival of the Fittest

I think God delighted in what the sacrifices represented. Like tithing. These were ancient times. Ancient economics. Different norms. Different rules. Do you really? You think God is happy that sin entered and blood had to be shed? I'll admit I think God is happy that sinners are reconciled, but I'...

Re: Marriage - It's an Institution

Don't let Rick fool you - he is actually a very sensitive, touchy feely, emotional sort - but he uses sarcasm because he's not comfortable with expressing himself emotionally. His wife says that sarcasm IS his "love language" - well, that and food. :pound:

Re: Marriage - It's an Institution

Hana: am 34, and still would like to have kids, Lord willing. I cannot move veeeeeeeery slow :) Well, Hana, think of it like this: If God wants you to have kids - you WILL! (see below) Now, kiddies, you don't have to do like Uncle Philip did - but at Hana's age, I was in the midst of a very serious...
