Re: Marriage - It's an Institution

Hana: am 34, and still would like to have kids, Lord willing. I cannot move veeeeeeeery slow :) Well, Hana, think of it like this: If God wants you to have kids - you WILL! (see below) Now, kiddies, you don't have to do like Uncle Philip did - but at Hana's age, I was in the midst of a very serious...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?

Rick: Philip, If the sabbath law was instituted at creation, wouldn't there be an unbroken succession of God's covenant people observing the sabbath before it was written as part of mosaic law? Like biblical proof that Adam, Noah, and Abraham, were observing the sabbath? I'll have to think on that ...

Re: Pope: GOD made people gay

I always wonder if Rick's wife just has an awesome sense of humor or if she just stays constantly irritated. I mean, Don Rickles was a god to Rick!

Bav: "Cool...I’m just not in the * state of mind when discussing what to me is serious...and granted maybe it’s only me that takes this serious." Bav: "You’re not the one’s being deemed whatever for certain beliefs, are you? You’re in the “club” and I’m not, so to speak." Bav, you need to chill out...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?

Rick: And, is this where you're going with Christ having the authority to make a new covenant, and he also had the authority to make the old covenant obsolete? Ah, so much back and forth over whether there is a covenant that is permanent that the Lord gives that even He (supposedly) can no rescind....

Re: Survival of the Fittest

Bav, I think you hyper-focused upon the last thing that my intended humorous response was meant to convey - and that was, God ordained the eating of meat, the use of it in sacrifices, and as a necessary element in carnivores' diets and the food chain. And herbivores eat plants (living biological ent...

Re: Survival of the Fittest

I'm hoping this is sarcasm because to promote that God ACTUALLY and LITERALLY delights in flesh burning is quite a statement and one I do not agree with at all. God delighted in the sacrifices and what they represented, not the burning flesh. But make no mistake, it was God that implemented the sac...

Re: Survival of the Fittest

Blessed: Somehow survival of the fittest happened. And that "Somehow" was GOD! He designed the predator/prey relationships. The ancient fossil record before man was / is rich in blood, gore and fang! As for killing animals somehow being bad or evil - WHO exactly commanded the animal sacrificial sys...

Re: Pope: GOD made people gay

Notice, now, days later, the Pope has still not clarified nor corrected whether his private comments to the abused man were incorrectly conveyed and reported. Wonder why? Because it's a huge issue! So much that it has great potential to split off parts of the church - read about that here: https://w...
