Re: 13 Miles High - as seen from a U-2

I fly gliders and this is essentially a big, powered glider. I noted at about 7:58 that he pulled on what appeared to be spoilers which are common on gliders. The landing was not a thing of beauty, he dropped it in a bit and did what glider pilots call a tail strike, but considering the difficulty o...

If you had ever met my dad you would have known immediately that neanderthals interbred with humans.

Re: Noah's ark "discovery'...

Not trying to be a jerk here. If there was anything that impressed me about the Bible it was the dimensions of Noah's Ark which I thought conformed pretty much to what is the best ratio/dimension of a modern ocean going vessel. That being said, I captured and enlarged the picture a few entries above...

Re: Someone hit one of my BSU players

I'm surprised he didn't hit the guy back. I went to Meridian High School for a year when I had to leave California (juvenile legal problem) way back in the late 70's and those football players were in various fights on and off the field throughout the year. Heck, us stone greasers crunched one of t...

Resurrection

While I am getting ready for some night racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway, I thought I would come in and ask a question which might have been asked before, perhaps by me but I can't find a reasonable answer. I have been listening and watching some of the Lee Strobel videos, mostly debates between Ath...

Re: Someone hit one of my BSU players

Is that what he got? Suspended for an entire season? Seems reasonable to me, he sucker punched the guy and that is quite unsportsmanlike. Actually I believe the field at "The Swamp" is astroturf. I prefer natural grass myself. The Gators will repeat as National Champs. W Yes, a one year s...

Re: Someone hit one of my BSU players

BSU? Oregon? Who might these teams be? Have they ever heard of the Florida Gators? THE FLORIDA GATORS!!! THE BIGGEST, BADEST TEAM EVER TO TAKE THE FIELD? Just so you know, The MIGHTY Florida Gators will go undefeated in the SEC, win the National Championship AGAIN, and Tim Tebow (a fine Christian b...

Re: Question on forgiveness:

W, Number one, I am not angry. Numbedr two, I am not being sarcastic. I am asking you a blunt question, thus why I phrased it. Getting defensive everytime someone challenges you, or your method of thinking, is not, a "good thing." (there is sarcasm) Being a flight instructor, I'm sure you...

Re: Question on forgiveness:

It seems that, looking back at the threads, he was just taking the opportunity to ask me to see another thread. At least, that was my take on it. Not that he was trying to see how the age of hte universe affected salvation. But Walt can certianly clarify this. That is correct Zoegirl. And I underst...

Re: The Resurrection

Jac and Erawdrah, good answers both. I am currently reading "The Case for Christ," by Strobel and am on the chapter, The Evidence of the Missing Body. Good info all around. Sometimes I think it's asking a lot of 20th century man to accept some of these concepts. Bottom line is that if Jesu...

Re: Question on forgiveness:

Maybe you could weigh in on my question about Day Age Progressive Creationists? Walt, Blunt question. What does that have to do with the claims of "why" we need a Savior? Could it be that you are creating a fog with many of these questions, and perhaps missing the crux of the matter? Jlay...
