Re: Adam’s rib

But it is a bit interesting - Adam and Eve first sinned. And yet we're told sin is not counted where there is no law. But Adam's sin most definitely was counted - so what law exactly did Adam transgress that such a terrible price was assigned to it? As Adam's sin was held accountable, there had to ...

Re: Adam’s rib

And I see it as good to throw out thoughts Phil, especially new ones theologians are tossing around out there. Heaven forbid I stop that, for that is how progress and greater insight can be had. Fwiw, I'm NOT necessarily trying to throw a spanner in the works to the position that humans exists prior...

Re: Adam’s rib

K, how could sin have existed in the world before Adam sinned? Where does it say sin existed in the world before Adam and Eve? Romans 5:13 states, "for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given ..." So there WAS sin in the world before God's law was given to Adam. Where is this "law" tha...

Re: Adam’s rib

To begin with, either the suggested dates for human settlements FAR outside of ancient Mesopotamia are wrong or the approximate date for Adam is. Or both are about right. ANY other option? ANY other option? Of course. Assume that gaps exist in the genealogies. There are also 10,000 YECs, and while ...

And the Gap Theory basically butchers scripture. What scientific evidence supports a pre-Adamic race tha...

Nils is from Sweden, so... their subjectivism will soon subject them to Sharia law. It's just as good as any other really, a matter of taste. People will adjust fine. Nils, isn't your country already an Islamic state? :P

Re: Asking God to reveal himself?

Re longing, you are confusing cause with causation. Hana didn't long after God, not initially. There is no catch-22. There is no argument here being made to you either, other then telling you (well trying) as it is froma Christian pov. Scripture says none of us seek after God. If true, this means we...

Re: Adam’s rib

I've not mentioned "genetic progenitor", although I can see why you jump to such being the case since many might take that view by all being in Adam, yet then none who are in Christ are genetically related to Him. So, I see it as irrelevant. Amen... That is one of the key points that I am trying to...

Re: Adam’s rib

Well why would God do that then? Also, where does the early people who lived for a million years like H. erectus fit in? We see they died beforehand, how are they sinners if they lived eons before Adam*? *most here think Adam was round few hundred thousand years ago sooo What I highlighted in your ...

Re: Adam’s rib

All people have sinned and are affected by the sin of Adam... regardless of their genetic ancestry. And Christ died to save all people... regardless of their genetic ancestry. There is no Scriptural correlation between a person's genetic relationship to Adam and either their participation in the co...
