Re: Why won't God heal amputees?

This is related to the problem of evil, or it's not a simple answer. To expand on your question, why doesn't God stop bullets from leaving the barrel of a gun, why doesn't he make a rapist's penis go limp, why doesn't he stop electricity from leaving dangerous wires and killing an electrician, why ...

The pope said everyone goes to heaven

Thats right.Nonbelievers and atheist alike. Lets ignore the fact that the Bible Makes it pretty clear that Good deeds alone do not get you into heaven but only through Christ. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/22/pope-francis-good-atheists_n_3320757.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular So basically the P...

Re: Shroud of Turin

More on AB blood type from Dan Porter's blog In response to an earlier posting on the upcoming BTST meeting, there has been much discussion about when the AB blood type first appeared in history. AB blood type has been reported in skeletal remains that are approximately 1,600-2,000 years old (Am. J....

Re: Shroud of Turin

Also to add. Why would they have added the blood first before painting the image? Just more evidence that it wasn't a forgery. A artist would have added the blood afterwards. Again. Trying to reconcile all the implausibility of a forgery comes off as ridiculous.

Re: Shroud of Turin

Swimmy, Couldn't you just have easily posted that in the other forum? As I said, I don't have time to critically examine the evidence for both sides. I know it's unlikely to convince anyone who is dedicated to one side or the other, but the 3rd party (spectators) who may be on the fence are convinc...

Re: Shroud of Turin

Can I give a shameless promotion? This is a great interview of Barrie M. Schwortz: http://razorswift.wordpress.com/2011/08/20/the-shroud-of-turin-is-real/ The Shroud of Turin is first century linen manufactured in the ancient method, not woven in the medieval or modern method. It bears the image of...

They still believe "X," haha!" . Well. When one still keeps holding on to the idea that paint makes up the image and that there is no blood on the shroud I can't help but laugh. Or thinking McCrones work is reliable. Very amateur stuff. Well, why not go in there and link some citatio...

Re: Shroud of Turin

Hey Bibby, ... it would be very interesting to see you "step into the lions den," and see where the debate goes from there. True, you don't learn much with a bunch of fellow travelers as judge and jury cheering on your every statement. Unfortunately the site Pierson linked isn't worth the...
