Describe yourself

I thought that it would be cool for each of us to descibe ourselves here. Likes and dislikes. Hobbie and so forth. I'll start it out and just follw along. Lets keep this going for as long as we can. Use the > key to describe yourself. Use ^ when talking about the person above you. Use v when talking...

Re: 2012

Even Christ Himself said that no one knows when these things were to happen except the Father. Let us not forget about that very important point. If that be the case, why would the Myans have that kind of insight of things to come when even the diciples didn't? I think the whole Myan callendar thing...

Re: What are the top arguments atheists should NOT use?

The book of Revelation talks about fire and brimstone as being literal. So I beleive that it is literal. Remember what is said at the end of Revelation? Do not change or add words to the book. There is a serious consequence for doing so.
Video or not.

Re: The Rapture....and a bunch of "dead" Christians?

Jac, what about Rapture. How many Rapture Event is going to be (group)? We know that before tribulation is one. Is there another one at the end of the millennium? No there will be no need for one since Christ will be here on Earth to judge to dead and those alive at the end of the millenial reign.

Re: Once Saved always saved?

Something to ponder. Since Jesus died on the cross for our sins, we are saved through His sacrafice. If we fall away from our faith and come back, is Christ crucified again? Absolutely not! If we turn from our faith for the rest of our lives does that void out what Jesus did for us on the cross? NO!...

Re: Once Saved always saved?

So obsolete, if i understand you well, you are saying that for example, someone believed in Christ all his life, but then at the end, say last days of his life, he reject Christ, he will still be save? Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were ...

Re: Once Saved always saved?

Let me interject here for the moment, if I may. Psalms 69:13 says- 13 But I pray to you, O LORD, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation. Please take great heed to the word sure. The Psalmist, even then before Christ's sacrifice, knew that the salvati...

Re: Once Saved always saved?

2 Timothy 1:12-13 "If we endure, we will reign with Him. If we disown him, He will disown us. If we are faithless, He will remain faithful" The earlier verse shows that if we outright disown him, we can loose our salvation. If that happens though, we can always come back to Him as shown i...

Re: Once Saved always saved?

I think I posted it here but Paul is very clear in Romans 8 that nothing can pluck us out of God's hands. I believe this to be true, however, Christ's words/parables suggest that even those that have believed, have accepted the word, can be chocked by life and fall away...so this leads to the concl...

Re: Once Saved always saved?

Either Christ is wrong or this OSAS "theology" is wrong.
You yourself said that the truth is Christ. Neither is wrong.

I think I posted it here but Paul is very clear in Romans 8 that nothing can pluck us out of God's hands.

Re: Once Saved always saved?

Like I said, show me where demons are offered salvation. John 3:16 is directed to human beings (he's talking to those born in the flesh. Does that apply to Satan?). The same would apply for angels. Yet since both angels, fallen or other, have free-will just as we who are born of the flesh do, they ...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?

Open any dictionary and look up 'Religion.' You will find something along these lines: Religion: The body of institutionalized expressions of sacred beliefs, observances and social practices found within a given cultural context. (Merriam Webster) Here, from a French dictonary (my translation): Rel...

Re: reasons NOT to give to a Church

Oh, and Jesus never said anything about giving 10% of your income, He said give it all. Paul said to give as much as your conscience led you, Do you remember what Jesus said about the old lady who gave very little, yet because she gave with her heart she had given more than the hypocrites? I don't ...
