Re: Struggling
Thank you all very much for your words of support and encouragement. Zoegirl, I do attend church weekly. Sad part is that I'm a licensed minister of the gospel. I have thought about stepping down from any roll that I play within the church. I do enjoy the worship at church, but afterwards it feels a...

Struggling
For the past few months now I have been having an occuring thought. "What if God doesn't exist"? The really sad part is the fact that I entertain the thought and mull it over in my head for awhile at work. But it only comes around while I'm at work. I have also been struggling with maintai...

Re: Human "souls"
Isn't to believe in an afterlife believing in substance duelism? There are many other religions that believe that a person has a soul. Unless you believe in reincarnation, or the atheist. In Ecclesiastes 12:7 we read when we die, "the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit retu...

(as a spoon with a hole in it would be faulty?) A spoon with a hole in it wouldn't be faulty, it'd be a fork 8-}2 (ok, that was lame, sorry; carry on). I like the spoons with the holes, where you just get the meat and nothing but the meat. y:-? :esmile: My mom liked them too, but they were used for...

Re: Is the present financial crisis a sign of end times?
America may be having money problems, but alot of other nations are doing great. i.e. China, Russia. Not so much as of today according to the New York Times. All markets fell considerably today. Even though in America there is the whole problem that started with the housing then moved to banks, whi...

Re: Great Tribulation
I do not believe, even thought was taught pre-trib, that the church will "escape" any kind of persecution or tribulation. I do believe that we will not suffer under God's wrath at the last half of the trib. That is sciptural. Paul wrote it.

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
Are you suggesting that populations stop evolving when we aren't looking? Anything is possible within the "controled" atmosphere of a science lab. I do beleive that there are some types of micro organisms that do "evolve" on some level, but when has anything "evolved" ...

Re: Once Saved always saved?
I half agree. With which part? But in the context of OSAS, I disagree. One can choose to leave God as easily as one chose to believe. Look again closely to this: Once you have accepted Jesus, your name is then forever written in the Lambs Book of Life. And this: Ones name can never be stricken out ...

Re: Once Saved always saved?
From what I'm reading here, you may have the idea one can lose his/her salvation from one sin, or one backslide so to speak, or one unconfessed sin. If this is what you're saying I would definitely disagree. We have no way of confessing each and every sin. Salvation isn't lost from turning to your ...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
The reason is that experiments are set up with very specific hypotheses to test. Once the identified hypotheses have been tested, the experiment is over and the strain/population is eliminated. What you seem to be saying is, "I won't believe in evolutionary common descent until I see it all ha...

Re: What are the top arguments atheists should NOT use?
then why i was told by people (including priest!) that it is NOT literal and it's STUPID to think there is actual fire and demons? Well i guess no-one knows everything forreal, nor do priests and we do have to make assumptions and use our own mind and understanding of the world, make our opinions. ...

hm ok, but the Mayans were not the only ones. Moreover, on gotquestions.org i read about end times and stuff like that. What are the seals and bowls and all that... says there is to be huge earthquake with hailstones - is not that expected to be the Nibiru crashing the Earth? That is predicted on 2...

Actually, I think that the two pictures of the crabs are of the same genre. One is female and the other is male. The colors are used to atract the oposite sex for mating. How in the world could that not be ID for reproductive purposes? As far as the cats, It might have been more convincing if you po...
