Re: Sorcery

It breaks the first commandment. Almost all spells and occult practices involve the invocation of a spirit or Pagan deity. Can you show biblical evidence of this? What Biblical evidence? All it takes is a glance at the spells. It's no secret that Pagans/witches worship gods other than the Christian...

Re: Dragons or Dinosaurs

Well, there's nothing wrong with "reconciling" the Bible and science. They're not enemies. Anyways, this is derailing off-topic completely, but I have another question. Is there a scriptural reason that you reject evolution, or do you just simply not like that theory? Evolution seems perfe...

Re: Sorcery

It breaks the first commandment. Almost all spells and occult practices involve the invocation of a spirit or Pagan deity. A spell is basically just a Pagan prayer. Christians aren't supposed to pray to or worship other gods. Be they real demons pretending to be gods or simply products of imaginatio...

Re: Dragons or Dinosaurs

You're confusing Theistic Evolution, a very small subset of OEC with the whole. OEC encompasses a broader spectrum including progressive creationism. If you're interested in understanding better the different positions within the OEC spectrum, it shouldn't take very long on the main page to find mu...

Re: Dragons or Dinosaurs

The documentary doesn't use the fallacies from the article you linked to. It doesn't bring up human footprints alongside dinosaur footprints, in fact it even addresses why we've never found humans and dinosaurs fossilized together; that's just how it happened. There are millions of animals that co-e...

Re: Atheists

It is upsetting sometimes, yes. You just have to learn to live with it, and not worry about it. Also remember, some do it specifically just to upset you. By getting upset, you only give them more power over you.

Dragons or Dinosaurs

Has anybody else seen this documentary? You can view it for free on Netflix, or you can order it online at amazon and/or cloud ten pictures. I would highly reccommend it. It has changed my entire view on Young Earth Creationism, and for me, that took a lot. It shows evidence for young earth, and pre...

Rastafarian movement

I just wanted your guys' opinion on the Rastafarian movement. Do you believe it to be a legitimate denomination/sect of Christianity, or do you believe it to be heretical?

Re: Lust and sin

I think I get it now. Thanks. I already made an apointment with a therapist, we'll see if that helps my issues clear up. 2. If it is possible then I don't see where the problem is. The church set forth by man and the church set forth by Jesus/God are two different things. I disagree, but that's a di...

Re: Homosexuality and destroying faith

I believe society's hatred of homosexuals is very wrong. Homosexuality is definitely a sin, but judging sinners is not our place. That is reserved for God, not us. Society is also very hypocritical in this matter. If their disdain for homosexuality were truly religious in nature, then things like se...

Re: Lust and sin

IBut here's my take on it. Is lust a sin? Sure, and I can see how. It promotes evil, immoral thoughts, desires and many other things. But I don't get it. Is lust just inherently evil? How? Now, these desires may be natural, but reveling in them rather than banishing them from your mind will only st...

Honor thy father and mother

I sometimes find it extremely difficult to follow this one. I wasn't abused or anything, and as far as material possessions go, my mother throws money at me (which, I am very grateful for, given how little money she has to spare). But it's just that over and over my mother has proven herself to be, ...

Lust and sin

I've spent a few years not really worshipping God, and I realize that was a mistake and now I'm trying to change all of that. I'm finding that some parts of coming back are easier than others. Predictably, the hardest part is fighting my lust drive. Don't get me wrong, I don't sleep around, still a ...

Re: Creationist Explanation for Bigfoot, Lochness, etc

Also note that what I just said about the monsters doesn't apply to God. As God is not only immortal, but there is only one, and He isn't a physical being, He wouldn't leave behind dead.
