Re: marijuana/prostitution
"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, 'The two will become one flesh.' But he who un...

Re: Zoe - and Dr Who Fans...
I saw that episode about Pompeii. Did I see a different ending? The one I saw showed the family alive and well later, with the son "turned around." The episode showed that, to me, the consequences of saving them were bad in one sense anyway - their home shrine had The Doctor and the tardi...

Re: Question about faith
Lol, I need to leave, but will return to this board later or tomorrow. The bible is the word, the living word, and the Word is Jesus. So it's a great thing that that is taking precidence (sp?) in your life. See what Jesus wants of you, and the rest of your life will fall into place. For now,

Re: Question about faith
OK . . . Um . . . not really. Are you saying that you want to read the bible more and that that desire is inteferring with your studies? I feel kind-of like an idiot. If you have the desire to read the bible, Jesus must not be far away.

Re: Question about faith
Hi obliviousdream! I'm pretty new here myself. Could you restate that last part about reading and language, I'm just not getting it for some reason. That would make a difference in my response, I think. Anyway. Hmm. Do you think that he's truly not with you? If so, do you think it's because of the ...

If you go to this webpage, you'll get a great answer to your question: http://www.biblebb.com/files/macqa/70-13-2.htm * * * This is from a website, http://www.biblebell.org/accountability.html "The Age of Accountability as Defined by God Preceeding paragraphs have shown that God's Bible says c...

Re: Ben Stein - Expelled movie
Yes, there are negative reviews, but what's amazing is how there are so FEW reviews. A lot of the press has just been ignoring it. If you go to the ARN website (http://arn.org/) and click on the Expelled picture (upper left), you'll get a page with a whole bunch of links. To both good and bad revie...

Hey, Brian. I'm new here too - hope to see you around.
Hey everyone else too! There are a ton of very interesting topics, so it's going to take me quite a while to wade through them and think about them enough to respond.

Re: WIFE VS. HUSBAND
:pound: Those are really funny, especially the Words and Silent Treatment ones. I knew a pastor that mentioned the word count thing quite a bit, but not in a bad way. But thank goodness, there have been some newer studies about that! I'm not noramally a big talker, but my husband is! Now, my son tal...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
David Tennant acts a bit more eccentric, so it's fun. But I think part of it is the writing. After watching all of Season 3 recently (by renting), we went back and watched parts of Season 1. I was surprised at how different they were. Season one is quite emotional in many ways. Season two is too, b...

HI everyone. Some of you have encountered me already, and since you liked my Doctor Who avatar and seemed to like talking about him, I thought I'd test out my signature image here. Someone posted it on photobucket, and I may not keep it for long, but it's funny, eh?

Re: The Language of God
Nice. Even though I love CS Lewis, I needed to catch up on what he thought about evolution. I had actually seen quotes of Lewis' that indicated that he believed evolution was true, and that it was not (!), so I wanted to find out more. Then I forgot about it until just now, reading your review. I p...
