Re: Batteling Christianity

Hi everyone, thanks for all your help. Congratulations Lufia. :o Zebulon, I have felt like I was married, as we are committed and everything is in joint names etc, but I still think it's important to make that commitment properly, in front of others, otherwise there wouldn't be a distinction made in...

Re: Batteling Christianity

Hi FFC, yes, I understand what you mean. I think I need to 'step out in faith' so to speak and trust that God has heard my prayer and will save me. I am stuck in a sinful situation at the minute (I live with my partner and I love him to bits and want to marry but he doesn't want to marry in the near...

Re: Batteling Christianity

Hi BW, I have prayed that prayer and will do so again tomorrow and the next day. I will try to find a Bible Study Group. I know it is important to meet with others and I am wary of the wolves but I trust God will direct me to the right place. Thank you for your help. I will let you know how I am get...

Re: Batteling Christianity

HI B.W, you ask would I like to be born again? If that means knowing for sure that God is really there and He loves me and has forgiven me, then yes. I have prayed many times over the years about this and I never seem to change. I think the problem must be with me. Maybe I have sinned too much or ag...

Re: Stay at home mama drama

I couldn't agree with you more Bavarian Wheels. I was a stay at home mum until mine were 10 and 8. I loved it. I think men have the worse deal, having to work long hours and missing out on lots of the fun stuff. :esmile:

Re: Is the present financial crisis a sign of end times?

I've found some great educational videos regarding money, the financial crisis etc and here is one of them, a recording of a presentation by Ed Griffin back in 1994. He is an American film producer, author, and political lecturer. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8484911570371055528 What wil...

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness

HI FFC,

you've just done me a favour. I've run out of books to read at the minute and I just noticed your signature. I've got the 'The Hiding Place'. I read it years ago and I 'forgot' I still had it. I shall be reading it again. Thanks :esmile:

Re: Batteling Christianity

HI B.W, yes thanks for your reply. I don't think I've been born again as I'm sure I'd know about it and wouldn't carry on doing certain things I do but that's another subject. I wish our language was as rich as the Hebrew and Greek. We only have the one word for love and people confuse the real mean...

Re: Batteling Christianity

B.W, I must say I feel humbled after reading your post. I am not a strong Christian so I tend to be like a boat that's floating aimlessly here and there. I was raised a Roman Catholic and stopped going to church at 11. I always believed in God but wasn't sure about Him. When I was 14 I was skiving o...

Re: Is the present financial crisis a sign of end times?

Hi Zebulon, glad you are sticking around as well  All I'll say about the trinity is that I'm not sure about it. I'm still studying it. There are some other threads on the board regarding it, so I've got lots of reading to do. This post is getting interesting. I particularly found the 'China- On...

Re: Is the present financial crisis a sign of end times?

Hi Furstentum Liechtenstein, I've been checking up on the 'president quotes' I provided earlier. By typing in the first few words of each quote I was able to find out lots of info and some possible sources of where they come from: Jefferson's quote: 'a letter that Jefferson wrote to a man named John...

Re: going to hell?

Hi Byblos, I didn't see your last post there. Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry if I have had a go at you on here. I would have messaged you privately, but posted here in case Bane visited as a guest. I'm quite hot headed and emotional hence the strong posts on here. I have family members who are ...

Re: going to hell?

Hi Zebulon, I wouldn't go without telling you where I went. I spotted you on the Revelation discussion site ;) . I've thrown my dummy out the pram, as we brits sometimes say, so I'd better pick it back up. I completely understand that it is necessary to remove people who only want to disrupt and cau...

Re: going to hell?

Thank you for your private message and for explaining things, but I am still having problems with this. If he violated the board, was he warned he had done this? and given the benefit of the doubt? Reading both his posts, I'd agree he seemed to be causing mischief. I've just read Run Baby Run, and a...

Re: going to hell?

I've just noticed that you've banned him. He'll no doubt be ever more sure in his mind that Christians are narrow minded and intolerant and will be further entrenched in his atheism. It's a good job it wasn't you who tried to win over Nicky Cruz, as his tactics were to swear and punch. This guy Bane...
