Re: Christians who committ suicide

Why would God give life to the one who despises it so much that she/he prematurely takes it?There is nothing like once-saved ,always saved. That would mean fixing eternity before man dies and sort of fixing his decisions ,as well. Why does God give life to anyone and why did He send Christ for sinne...

Re: Clean and unclean foods

Why would God continue forcing His love on one who is totally rejecting it?He bids us show ours by keeping His Law-John 14 v 15.
Would we make Him a fool to continually render Him lip service and not deliver on the pragmatic front? That pragmatic part is the evident abiding by His law.

Re: The true religion

Question for Jenna and Oscarsiziba, Does God love you more based upon keeping the Law? - - - I perceive you know a sound love relationship is reciprocal, both parties show and reciprocate each other's love.Anyone in this set setup that may have a certain behaviour that would work the destruction of ...

Re: Clean and unclean foods

Then we can eat any and everything, yes everything/Why not that 'other' creature and yes the rest/If we of corrupt nature know what is good and bad for us,does God not have a final say on what our table has to contain and not? Keeping the commandments of God is never grievous(1 John 5 v3) and David a...

Re: Why does God blesses the unbelievers?

What makes you think that God is blessing them/Even the devil has rewards that he gives to those that do His bidding.Am not saying God selects, but that it's not everything that we perceive is from God that comes from Him.The devil also answers prayers!

Re: Clean and unclean foods

I think it is somehow wrong to think that the food issue(that led to the expulsion of the couple in the garden)that robbed humanity of eternal life can be counted as no issue before God.Honestly.If God was concerned about them eating outside prescription then I believe that He shall forever be conce...

Re: Clean and unclean foods

Obedience characterised by trust is what God sought in the Garden couple regarding eating the other tree. That is still the case.
It's not logical,but required nevertheless.

Re: The true religion

All the days of the week have been named after pagan gods.Monday(moon day),Tuesday(Tiu's day),Wednesday(Wedo's day),Thursady(Thor's day),Friday(Frigg's day),Saturday(Saturn's day),Sunday (Sun's day). This therefore calls for us to get back to the original names that were ascribed to the days of the w...

Re: Christians who committ suicide

You think you are 'boldly' taking on my questions, while to me this is not so.Some things I cannot keep on responding to because I would have addressed in my other posts. Statements of faith are human inventions ans should not be stuck to if they have loopholes. Will say more need to go and rest.Had ...

Re: Christians who committ suicide

What is orthodox Christianity? Why does it have a qualifying word? What do you understand regarding a person's salvation-once saved, always saved? The works do not makes us saved, but they follow to show that we have been saved. The fruit that a tree bears does not make it bad or good but testifies to i...

Re: Is love only a bi-product of salvation?

God first loved us, and we then choose to serve Him or not.Salvation comes as a response to the outstretched hand of God(love). We love because He first loved us.

Re: What's the deal with Catholics?

There are well-meaning Christians within the Catholic system, but problem seems to be with their teachings which seem to be drawn from tradition, ritual and superstition than from the Bible. The church is the final authority-I don't take that. The final with me is the Bible. Jenna,I perceive the Vatican...

Re: Christians who committ suicide

1. Tough and True talk is not the issue. Poor doctrine and a lack of compassion is the issue. Jesus reserved his greatest wrath for the Pharisees who focused on the law, minimized people, and by their doctrine and "tough talk" condemned those who followed their doctrinal error and manipul...
