I was with a very legalistic church and spent all of my time trying to convert people to that church. And that was the problem. My goal was converting people to the church and not to Jesus. I suspect that you are having the same thoughts that I did, and hence the same cure might apply. My faith soar...

At the risk of oversimplification I would suggest that the only point being made is that if there was a time when there was nothing (no space, time, energy, or matter), and if something does now exist, Something (capitol "S" intended) must have brought it into existence.
