Re: Understanding the Trinity

Jenna, This thread is about understanding the Trinity. You are still arguing against the Trinity, even though you don't understand what the doctrine is. You'd be much better off asking questions about things you don't understand, than arguing against it. It makes you look like you have no desire to...

And, why is the Holy Spirit given to believers? the holy spirit is given to believers. if it were a person or being within the Godhead, it would not be given , it would come to them of its own accord. Re: Understanding the Trinity

Jac3510 wrote:So how do you understand Jesus' words? Because when someone quotes Jesus and you say, "Tell that to so and so," it's hard not to draw the conclusion that you're saying Jesus' words were wrong based on that so and so.
*shrug* I think it's obvious. If you don't, fine.

Re: Understanding the Trinity

I'm thinking my terminology was wrong. Lets' try 'this' -- Jesus Christ had to ascend back up to the Father in heaven so that the Holy Spirit could come to indwell believers. Jesus Christ could only be one place at a time -- in His human form -- as the Son -- teaching a group or individually. But H...

yes, it is His power that caused her to conceive. again, the HS is the power God has to do the things He does.

Some of these guys get into complex responses that I get lost in. There are bound to be other comments -- but, hopefully we can have a...
